As I watch this exhilarating spectacle unfold, I find myself captivated by the spirit of adventure that permeates through each episode of Celebrity Race Across the World. The diverse cast of personalities embarking on this journey across South America is nothing short of inspiring.

Once again, the thrilling installment of “Celebrity Global Journey” kicks off, with four renowned individuals and their closest companions setting off on a one-of-a-kind journey that promises excitement beyond measure.

Kelly Brook, her spouse Jeremy, Scott Mills along with his husband (initially fiancé) Sam, Jeff Brazier accompanied by his son Freddy, and Kola Bokinni together with his cousin Mary Ellen have embarked on an extraordinary adventure that requires them to traverse Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chile over a distance of 12,500 kilometers.

Once again, the explorers must relinquish their smartphones, online connectivity, and credit/debit cards while they embark on a journey aiming to reach the final destination.

To get you up to speed with the second season of the Celebrity Race Across the World, let’s explore the itinerary for this year’s competition!

Episode 1

In episode 1, the pairs embark on their adventure right in the northernmost part of Brazil, specifically in Belém, which is the capital city of the state of Pará.

As a cinephile, I was handed over my essentials, then equipped with a GPS device, a map, some pocket change, and crucially, vital information about our initial destination – the first checkpoint on this thrilling cinematic adventure.

As they travel along, their initial stopover is Canoa Quebrada, affectionately referred to as the ‘Pearl of Brazil’s east coast.’

The teams must journey a distance of approximately 1,750 kilometers across four different states before reaching their initial checkpoint. They can opt for a route along the Atlantic coast or choose an economical option by traveling through the interior countryside.

As they contend with the sweltering tropical weather, the teams will need to devise strategies for navigating towards Canoa Quebrada, a destination where merely five percent of the residents are proficient in English.

Consistently, the teams need to navigate through five distinct landmarks, and it’s only upon reaching one that they will discover the location of the next one.

Celebrity Race Across the World continues every Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
