As a long-time fan of manga and an avid reader of Chainsaw Man, I have to admit that the latest developments in the series have left me absolutely stunned. The reveal of Pochita’s ultimate power was something I had been eagerly anticipating, but I wasn’t prepared for just how intense and dark it would be.
From “Chainsaw Man,” a lesson we’ve taken away is the sheer terror that is Pochita. At their initial encounter, Pochita appeared endearing and harmless. However, subsequent events have revealed a much darker side to this devil. In the latest chapter 172, the manga delves back into the ominous power hidden within Pochita’s true form. The traumatic experience Denji went through served as a catalyst for revealing this hidden might.
In this week’s final installments of “Chainsaw Man,” Denji’s world took a dark turn following Nayuta’s demise. Overwhelmed by grief and loss, Denji lost control, and Pochita’s true form fully emerged within him. In a brutal display of power, Chainsaw Man mercilessly eliminated an entire squad of hybrids. As if to satiate his hunger for vengeance, he beheaded the Ear Devil, unleashing his ultimate ability to wipe out the devil from existence altogether.
Yes, you’re absolutely correct. At long last, we get to witness firsthand how Chainsaw Man eliminates devils, as previously announced. True to his word, Chainsaw Man manages to eliminate devils from existence, and with the disappearance of the Ear Devil comes the loss of human ears. In the concluding pages of chapter 172, we observe Asa and all of humanity mourning the loss of their ears, which transpired as a result of Chainsaw Man consuming the Ear Devil.
What a gnarly power, huh? You can see why Yoru is desperate to take out Pochita’s true form.
Denji has lost control in his latest transformation, and it’s understandable why. After all, he was given a gruesome sight – Nayuta’s head on a sushi platter. Throughout his life, Denji has experienced unspeakable horrors, but nothing compares to the pain of losing someone he considered family. It remains to be seen what could possibly bring Denji back from the brink following Nayuta’s demise.
If you haven’t gotten around to reading “Chainsaw Man,” don’t worry. You can still follow the manga using the Shonen Jump app. For those unfamiliar with the series, here’s a brief summary:
As someone who has read manga and followed Denji’s story, I can tell you that his life was far from easy. He was a young man burdened by poverty and debt, living a simple existence. But what made him stand out was his resilience and willingness to go to great lengths for money. This included teaming up with his pet devil, Pochita, to hunt down devils.
