The manga “Chainsaw Man” is renowned for its intense doses of chaos throughout its storyline. Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, it follows the titular devil, or Denji, as he grapples with both ordinary and extraordinary challenges in his life. In more recent installments, the mangaka has been unapologetic in showcasing fierce battles between the Chainsaw Devil and War Devil against the Primordial Fears that pose a threat to humanity. However, a fresh contender has emerged on the scene, potentially outmatching formidable entities like the Gun Devil and the Falling Devil in terms of power.
Attention! If you haven’t read the most recent Chainsaw Man manga chapter (Chapter 204), be aware that we’re about to discuss spoilers. Death has been pulling out all the stops to make sure her schemes succeed. Utilizing devils like Famine, the Chainsaw Man copy, and the Falling Devil, the Primordial Fear who may be the most dangerous adversary in this arc, is desperate to die. She’s hoping that the War and Chainsaw Devils will grow strong enough to end her suffering. A new character has joined the fray in the “Fire Devil.” So far, we don’t know what powers this devil holds, but it’s expected to be one of the strongest devils yet.
The Fire Devil Rises
In the story, as Denji slices the false Chainsaw Man in two, the Fire Devil suddenly appears, liberating several of the villain’s captives and suggesting a connection between the Primordial Fear and the darker half of the Chainsaw Devil. The implication here is that the true identity of the Chainsaw Devil’s double is about to be unveiled. The last scene shows the Primordial Fear questioning Denji if he can identify the now-exposed human identity of the doppelganger, who lies decapitated before them.
In Tatsuki Fujimoto’s series, it’s suggested that the Fire Devil’s immense power comes from the same source that empowers all devils – human fear. The more people dread what a devil represents or is associated with, the stronger they become. For instance, the Gun Devil and Control Devil are still significant players because of mankind’s historical fear of guns and control. Since fire has been feared since its discovery, the Fire Devil might be exceptionally powerful among all earthly devils. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer than usual for the next chapter, as it’s scheduled to release in approximately two weeks.
Chainsaw Man Anime Fans Will Wait
Fans eagerly anticipating the appearance of the Fire Devil in the series might have to be patient for quite some time. The upcoming film “Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc” from Studio MAPPA, slated for release later this year, will delve into one of the most exhilarating storylines from the manga. However, at this point, Studio MAPPA has not yet confirmed a second season for the TV series, fueling speculation about whether Denji’s journey could be exclusively cinematic.
