Chainsaw Man Reveals the Public Safety Commission’s Dark New Goal

As a devoted fan who’s witnessed the gruesome twists and turns of Chainsaw Man’s manga, I can confidently say that it’s not for the faint-hearted or the easily disturbed. The latest chapter has taken the dark, gritty narrative to a whole new level, leaving me on the edge of my seat and questioning humanity’s moral compass.

Fans of “Chainsaw Man” may be eagerly anticipating the return of the anime adaptation, but the manga continues to unfold new chapters filled with unexpected twists. After Denji experienced one of the most painful setbacks in recent instalments, the Chainsaw Devil is now on a rampage as he confronts both the Public Safety Commission and the Chainsaw Man Church. Despite the Japanese Government’s past efforts to safeguard citizens through its devil hunters, the Public Safety Commission seems to be plotting a sinister course of action that could potentially lead to the downfall of mankind.

Attention! If you haven’t read the latest installment of Chainsaw Man manga (Chapter 174), beware as we delve into spoiler territory. A crucial aspect of Makima’s strategy, before her demise in the comic, was her ability to erase entire concepts from existence by slaying devils linked to them. According to a previous Control Devil, she managed to eliminate various ways that “human life had ceased” and even pivotal events from human history, shaping a world more aligned with her vision. Interestingly, the Public Safety Commission intends to follow suit by leveraging Denji’s powers and instructing him to consume random devils for a specific objective.

What Does The Public Safety Commission Want?

As a dedicated fan, I found myself deeply captivated by Fumiko Mifune’s chilling revelation in one scene. She shared that Japan’s new government plan aims to eradicate potent malevolent entities for the sake of human “advancement.” In her words, “Human progression. Toxic elements, societies, and more. With Chainsaw Man’s power, we can obliterate their very ideologies, refining civilization further.”

One significant action the government is aiming to carry out soon involves persuading Denji to consume the Primordial Fear known as the Aging Devil. This fear is seeking a bargain with the Public Safety Commission. In return for erasing the concept of aging from human consciousness, the Aging Devil demands the lives of ten thousand children, sacrificed in front of mirrors to finalize the agreement. Regrettably, it appears that the fictional Japanese Government is eager to comply with these terms.
