Channel 5 unveils new logo as channel rebrands as simply 5

After the announcement by the broadcaster about merging their linear channel with their streaming service (formerly known as My5), they will now operate under a single brand.

In their announcement regarding the rebranding, the channel expressed that the aspects cherished by its audience will remain central during this refresh. They also assured viewers that they would enjoy a noticeably enhanced user experience with our streaming service and a broader selection of content.

During the announcement of the rebrand last month, Channel 5’s head Ben Frow commented: “We’ve seen great success with several of our Channel 5 shows on Netflix, which demonstrates a massive demand for our content in the streaming market…”

Upon our rebranding to ‘5’, our streaming platform will grow substantially, providing a wider variety of content. This expansion includes an extensive selection of fresh series, box sets, and programs in genres such as reality, drama, facts, and children’s entertainment, hailing from the diverse Paramount family.

Sarah Rose, the president of the channel, stated: “Over the past three years, there has been unprecedented growth in viewership on My5. As more of our viewers embrace streaming, we believe now is the perfect moment to forge a tighter bond between our traditional broadcasting and streaming platforms.
