Chicago Fire Adds Private Practice Star for Season 13

As a seasoned gamer of life who’s seen more episodes of Chicago Fire than I’ve had hot dinners, I must say, this new cast shake-up is making my heart race faster than a Chicago fire truck! KaDee Strickland joining as Monica Pascal and Jake Lockett getting promoted to series regular status – these changes are stirring up a storm of excitement in the Windy City!

Chicago Fire is set to introduce some fresh faces into its cast before Season 13 begins. As per a report by TVLine on Thursday, KaDee Strickland from Private Practice has joined the NBC series in a recurring role as Monica Pascal, who is estranged from Dom Pascal, portrayed by Dermot Mulroney, the chief of Firehouse 51. Besides her work on Private Practice, Strickland has previously appeared in Freeform’s Cruel Summer, ABC’s Secrets and Lies, and Hulu’s Shut Eye.

Furthermore, it was announced that Jake Lockett will now be a permanent cast member in Season 13 of Chicago Fire. Lockett has been portraying Sam Carver since the start of Season 11. At the conclusion of Season 12, Carver took a leave of absence following his admission of romantic feelings for the paramedic Violet.

For Season 13 of “Chicago Fire,” Strickland isn’t the sole fresh face joining the cast; also new is Mulroney as Chief Dom Pascal. Previously a fire chief in Miami, Chief Pascal isn’t entirely unfamiliar with the scene, having started his career with the CFD. However, as the chief at Firehouse 51 now, he brings a distinct leadership style that sets him apart from the beloved Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker). Mulroney’s debut follows Walker’s departure from “Chicago Fire” as a regular series character in the Season 12 finale, where Boden was promoted to Deputy Commissioner.

Apart from Lockett, another cast member, Jocelyn Hudon, has also been elevated to a series regular role for Season 13 of “Chicago Fire”. This announcement was made public in June. Hudon debuted on the show in Season 12 as Lyla Novak, a paramedic at Firehouse 51. Initially hesitant about joining the team, Lyla soon proved to be an essential member of the firehouse. “Chicago Fire”, which is part of Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise, was renewed for Season 13 as early as March.

What is Chicago Fire About?

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but dive into the thrilling world of Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise, specifically, “Chicago Fire”. This gripping series takes me on an emotional journey, following the lives – both professional and personal – of the brave firefighters and paramedics stationed at the fictional Firehouse 51. Here, Engine Company 51, Truck Company 81, Rescue Squad Company 3, Battalion 25, and Ambulance 61 reside. This star-studded cast includes Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Christian Stolte, Hanako Greensmith, Joe Minoso, and many others. Interestingly enough, “Chicago Fire” was renewed alongside “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.” earlier this year.
