Chrishell Stause's Dig at Ex-Husband Justin Hartley Sparks Backlash

Chrishell Stause isn’t buying what these missions on The Traitors are selling.

During the February 6th episode of the Peacock competition show, one of the stars from “Selling Sunset” found the recent task reminiscent of her initial marriage with Justin Hartley.

In the course of our endeavor, I was among those assigned to participate in an unusual challenge: maintaining a close bond with a fellow participant within a transparent enclosure for a stretch of eight minutes. This enclosure became home to a variety of creatures – insects, small animals, and even snakes, which were introduced during this period.

In a joking manner, Chrishell, who was previously married to an actor from “This Is Us” between 2017 and 2019, told her partner Dolores Catania that this situation was more challenging than her first wedding.

Instead of reaching into the glass box as planned, the 43-year-old quickly withdrew her hand before any insects could reach her, thus removing herself and the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member from the task. This action potentially exposed them to danger since the Traitors could have targeted them for elimination.

The former star of “All My Children”, who wed Australian musician G-Flip in 2023, has spoken candidly about the challenges in their marriage and its eventual end, which she discussed during her time on the show “Selling Sunset”.

Chrishell stated during season three of the Netflix series that before we could make sense of anything, he had already submitted the paperwork. I learned about it because he sent me a message saying we were divorced. Just forty-five minutes later, the news was public knowledge.

In my efforts to maintain composure, I find myself juggling quite a bit, for it seems as though everyone on this globe is privy to the truth I uncovered simultaneously.

Approximately a year following her divorce finalization in 2021, the previous star of the Celebrity Karaoke Club disclosed some perspectives on why she chose to talk about her split with Justin (who subsequently married Sofia Pernas in 2021) on reality television.

In a 2022 episode of the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, she stated that what had happened was extremely embarrassing. Additionally, she was forced to continue filming a reality show, her alternative being quitting. However, suddenly she found herself losing everything, and she didn’t want to relinquish the one thing she had worked tirelessly to attain – her job and a new career. As a result, she persevered.

As difficult as it was to open up, Chrishell found comfort and community in sharing her story.

She shared that during the release of that show, people reached out to her amidst the pandemic, opening up about their own experiences. This interaction shifted her perspective on sharing versus hiding aspects of her life. In her opinion, honesty is far more beneficial than attempting to portray a flawless existence.
