Following the posting of pictures showing Wren, who is 22 months old, using a special orthopedic walker boot on his right foot, the writer of the “Cravings” cookbook provided a comforting explanation to ease any worries among fans.
On May 2, Chrissy posted on Instagram that Wren is doing well. He’s just wearing a boot since he’s finding it hard to put full weight on one leg due to an issue. Fortunately, it’s not a severe break, and recovery should be quick, thanks to his rapid healing right now.
Chrissy shared a post containing videos where Wren was wearing a boot and conversing with what seems like a talking cactus toy, all while sitting in the front passenger seat of an actual fire truck, alongside his sister Esti. In another video snippet, Wren is spotted running around barefoot, without the device, outside near a 2-year-old.
Apart from their toddlers, Chrissy and John are proud parents to a 9-year-old girl named Luna and Miles, who celebrates his 7th birthday this month.

On Instagram, Chrissy posted on May 2: “Wren is doing great,” she said. “He’s got a small cast on one leg due to some difficulty bearing full weight. Fortunately, it’s not a severe break – phew! Thankfully, they heal quickly at the moment.
As a lifestyle enthusiast and mom to Luna (9), Miles (6), and little Esti (2), I recently shared some fun moments with you all on my social media feeds. In one of my posts, you may have noticed Wren sporting her new boot, while engaging in an amusing conversation with what seems to be a chatterbox cactus toy – quite a sight! Another clip showed Wren darting around playfully outside, barefoot and without the device, alongside our energetic 2-year-old Esti. In July 2024, Chrissy Teigen publicly announced that her son Miles had been diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes, a condition detected after he was hospitalized due to another illness.
Two weeks past, Chrissy shared on her Instagram post dated July 31st, that our Miles had been hospitalized due to a severe bout of Shigella – an intestinal infection stemming from bacterial contamination in food or water. The medical team noticed unusual abnormalities in his blood test results as well.
She went on to say, “Following further examinations, it was discovered that he is in the initial stage of a lifetime with Type 1 diabetes. Last night, we administered his first dose of insulin, marking the beginning of a fresh, unfamiliar journey for us. We’re definitely picking up new knowledge as we go along.
Chrissy pointed out that several followers spotted a glucose monitor on Miles, one of her children, in a picture she posted more recently. They offered her lots of affection and words of support.
She expressed her gratitude by saying, “I’m expressing my heartfelt thanks for your compassionate actions.” Furthermore, she explained that it means a lot to Miles knowing that there are others who share similar experiences, making him feel less isolated.
