Not only my sister, but also T.J., your husband, and our children Noah and Asa, I hold each of you in such high regard.

She went on to say, “My mom, who embarked on this journey with me at just 8 years old, instructed me on navigating buses to the Port Authority [station], kept us safe from muggings on 9th Avenue, and taught me to act as if I were staying in hotels so we could use the lobby restrooms – all these little things.
