The seventh installment of Civilization, known as Civilization 7, has been available for a full week now. Although the Early Access launch wasn’t perfect, numerous enthusiasts of the series were excited to dive into the new version and explore the fresh features personally. Since there are still updates and enhancements planned for the future, Firaxis Games is taking time to commemorate the game’s first week. This includes revealing some intriguing gameplay statistics from the initial seven days of Civilization 7, as shared in a recent post by the developers.
The newly released Civilization game, known as Civilization 7, presents some modifications compared to its predecessors, not all of which have been met with enthusiasm by fans. Although it has a Metacritic score of 80, gamers are anticipating a few more updates before they feel fully prepared to immerse themselves in the game. Interestingly, the previous installment faced a similar issue upon release, but eventually won over fans with subsequent improvements. Despite wanting a user interface upgrade sooner rather than later, Civilization 7 players have already launched a staggering total of over 16.7 million campaigns during the first week of release. As reported by Firaxis, this equates to an impressive 1,198,610,972 game turns taken.
Although the total gameplay statistics are captivating, they’re not the most fascinating aspect of Firaxis Games’ latest graphic. Beyond merely demonstrating player engagement through these general figures, they also provide a glimpse into the workings behind the scenes, enabling fans to compare their playstyles and decisions with popular trends.
Confucius Ranked as Most Popular Civ 7 Leader
In the time leading up to the launch of “Civilization 7”, Firaxis provided detailed character profiles for various leaders, sparking speculation among fans about which ones would be the most favored. Interestingly, few had anticipated that Confucius would top the list. However, in the game’s debut week, he has emerged as the most widely used leader, participating in a staggering 2.4 million campaigns. As for civilizations, Rome is the overwhelming favorite, with Han and Greece trailing behind in second and third place.
Based on many suggestions favoring Machiavelli, it seems that Confucius may not maintain his leading position for much longer. The majority of players find Rome an appealing starting civilization in the game, which aligns with its substantial advantage over other civilizations since the game’s debut a week ago.
Thanks for a historic first week playing #Civ7

However, the development team has announced that details regarding upcoming UI updates and a comprehensive development plan are forthcoming. We can anticipate these to include a schedule for console patch releases, along with future PC version updates. As for disclosing additional behind-the-scenes insights, we’ll simply have to stay tuned for further announcements.
