As a long-time fan of Jeremy Clarkson and his antics, I must say I was pleasantly surprised when Clarkson’s Farm started airing. However, what truly captured my heart was the unexpected depth and education it provided about farming life. I never thought I would find myself engrossed in the challenges of sheep shearing or the intricacies of crop rotation, but here we are!

After it was announced that Clarkson’s Farm will come back for its fifth season on Prime Video, the show additionally won The Reith Award in the TopMob Screen Test Awards 2024.

The award, which saw The Assembly, D-Day 80: The Unheard Tapes, Michael Palin in Nigeria and Planet Earth III also make the shortlist, was to recognise the programmes that best “inform, educate and entertain”, as put forward by the BBC’s first director-general in 1922.

In the moment when Clarkson’s Farm bagged the award, it was acknowledged that the show “caught many off guard”, and has now evolved into one of the most educational programs gracing our TV screens today.

The bird expressed agreement with Khan’s thoughts, further stating that they regularly get letters from rural areas across the nation each week. These letters are filled with gratitude for bringing attention to the challenges these communities face daily.
