Clooney & Sink Get Tony Noms! See the Shocking List!

These stars are trading in the glamour of Sunset Blvd. for the bright lights of Broadway.

As the grandest event on Broadway, the Tony Awards, nears, Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce revealed the complete roster of nominees for the 2025 ceremony, which was unveiled on May 1st.

Out of the 12 Broadway shows nominated for awards, “Buena Vista Social Club”, “Death Becomes Her”, and “Maybe Happy Ending” earned a total of 10 nominations apiece.

In the acting realm, both George Clooney (from “Good Night, and Good Luck”) and Daniel Dae Kim (“Yellow Face”) showcased their skills not only on-screen but also on stage. As a result, they were recognized alongside other outstanding performers in the category for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play.

As a dedicated follower of musical theatre, I’m thrilled to share that Darren Criss from “Glee” (with his captivating performance in “Maybe Happy Ending”) and Jonathan Groff (whose rendition of “Just in Time” left me spellbound) are both nominated for the prestigious title of Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.

In the running for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play, we have a tight race between Sadie Sink (“John Proctor is the Villain”), Sarah Snook (“The Picture of Dorian Gray”), Mia Farrow (“The Roommate”), Laura Donnelly (“The Hills of California”), and LaTanya Richardson Jackson (“Purpose”). Each actress brings their A-game to this highly competitive category.

Actress Cynthia Erivo, famously known from “Wicked”, has been announced as the host for the 78th Tony Awards, happening at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on June 8. The event can be seen live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. Eastern Time/5 p.m. Pacific Time.

Now, here is the full list of nominees for the 2025 Tony Awards.
