The upcoming title, “Split Fiction” by Hazelight Studios (known for creating “It Takes Two”), appears visually stunning. While another trailer wasn’t necessary, we were still treated to one, which hasn’t dampened our excitement in the slightest.
The trailer primarily highlights the narrative of the game, which revolves around Mio and Zoe, two youthful authors, finding themselves imprisoned within the fictional realms they’ve created. With distinct writing styles, their separate genres give rise to diverse sci-fi and fantasy settings, each presenting intriguing gaming concepts.
At first, it appears that the duo might have some disagreements, but given this is a cooperative game, there’s every likelihood they’ll find common ground and agree on things as time goes on.

One aspect that gives us pause when it comes to Split Fiction is its narrative; It Takes Two’s story was rather peculiar, to put it mildly. However, we have faith that the gameplay will be strong enough to hold up if the story falls short. We can only hope that they’ve made strides in improving the narrative as well.
The highly anticipated game, Split Fiction, is almost here! It’s set to release on PlayStation 5 on March 6, 2025. Are you excited to give it a try? Let’s share our anticipation in the comments section below!
