Table Knight Games recently revealed that they’re working on a collaborative, first-person roguelike adventure game titled “UnderMire“. This game is set to debut on PC through Steam in the year 2026.

About
In simpler terms, “UnderMire” is a cooperative first-person adventure game that can be played by one to four players. You explore a mystical, always-changing underground bunker while battling ominous creatures. By transforming ordinary objects into magical weapons, you’ll learn to adapt as the tools evolve. A grumpy spirit cat assigns tasks for you to complete, and with voice chat, you can team up with friends to navigate the chaos either together or independently.
Narrative
- Lost and Trapped – After getting lost on a school trip, four teenagers will find themselves trapped by dark magical forces in a fantastical bunker underneath an old English manor.
- An Unlikely Ally Against Evil – Guided only by the spirit of a cantankerous cat who once lived there, the gang will discover the only way out is to get to the bottom and face the evil presence that has tormented this place for a thousand years.
- A Coming of Age Adventure – In doing so, they will learn about the family who once lived there, face their own darkest fears, and embark on a coming of age adventure like no other.

- Explore an Ever-Changing Bunker – Twisted by dark magic, the bunker shifts with every new run. Beginning with a familiar office and home environment, you will descend into wilder areas like the underground garden and eventually reach the dark magic nexus.
- Improvised Gameplay Collides With Cooperative Chaos – Break and fix bunker systems like power and lighting, use elemental magic to electrify water or burn wooden obstacles, and use your items and tools to overcome unpredictable hazards and defeat the enemies which lurk in the shadows.
- Get Ready to SMUSH Everything – Use the strange smush gel found across the bunker to combine everyday junk and bizarre food and drinks together into bombs and potions.
- Magic at Your Fingertips – Instead of guns and melee weapons, UnderMire features a series of magic tools to engage in combat with – master your tool in each run for a powerful boost, and fuse curious mods into them to add new gameplay and playstyles, but be careful to avoid the unpleasant backfire effects.
- Fearful Consequences – Spooky events will raise your fear gauge – keep it under control or run the risk of triggering strange hallucinations or even worse – spawning the creatures you thought
- Spooky-Cozy – Take a break between runs in the Den, the cozy basement at the top of the bunker. Upgrade your character and tools, and learn more about the spooky history of the manor and those who once lived there… and those who might still be there…
- Cat Quests – Meet McClane, a thousand year old spirit cat who was there at the start of all this mess. Perform unusual tasks for this cantankerous cat, and he’ll help you uncover the deepest secrets of the bunker.
