Cody Rhodes Explains the Importance of Having Pharaoh by His Side in WWE

As a long-time gamer and dog lover, I have to say that Cody Rhodes‘ story with his loyal canine companion Pharaoh tugged at my heartstrings. Having shared many a late night with my own furry friends during tough times, I can relate to Rhodes’ sentiments about the unwavering loyalty and companionship that pets provide.

For quite some time, Cody Rhodes, the uncontested WWE Champion, has traveled with his beloved dog, Pharaoh, to every city. However, as he’s getting older and starting to slow down, Rhodes announced before the SummerSlam event that this would be Pharaoh’s last walk alongside him, which will take place in Cleveland, Ohio. This news has left fans worried about their favorite canine companion, who even has his own WWE merchandise. Despite these concerns, Rhodes assured everyone that Pharaoh is fine. In a SummerSlam press conference, he explained that “the pack” is currently at home and Pharaoh has been with him through all the “ups and downs.”

Cody Rhodes Is Appreciative of Pharaoh Being Alongside Him in WWE

As a dog owner myself, I can deeply relate to the emotional bond shared between Rhodes and Pharaoh, his 13-year-old Husky. Over the years, I have experienced similar moments with my furry companions, where they have been an unwavering source of comfort during difficult times. There is something incredibly special about dogs, their ability to sense our emotions and provide solace when we are at our lowest.

I don’t want to continue taking him on long trips if he seems more content at home. We had a great time together here, with plenty of treats and the bus crew seemed to be overfeeding them a bit. But I cherished our walk together, and my dog Yeti Pinkerton is primarily used for performances. He’s more of a supporting act. Now it’s his turn to shine, and I adore him all the more because of that. It’s really heartwarming. I appreciate WWE for allowing this, even though it might seem a bit unconventional. They were very gracious in accommodating my request.

Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title against Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline in a match with Bloodline Rules. Given Rhodes’ past experiences with this type of stipulation, it wasn’t surprising that he was up against it again. However, what made this encounter unique was the fact that Sikoa had gathered quite an army. Apart from Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, the newly crowned tag team champions, Sikoa also had Jacob Fatu, one of the most formidable opponents to face across the ring, in his corner. In a surprising turn of events, Rhodes managed to retain his title due to some unexpected assistance. This victory took him through another Premium Live Event and now he’s headed towards Bash in Berlin.
