As a seasoned researcher with a keen eye for uncovering the truth, I have to admit that I find myself intrigued by Coffeezilla’s recent stance on the Hailey Welch/Hawk Tuah memecoin controversy. With years of experience under my belt, I’ve learned to sift through the noise and focus on facts.
As a researcher delving into YouTube matters, I, Stephen Findeisen (also recognized as “Coffeezilla”), have voiced my concern over the dissemination of misleading headlines pertaining to the viral influencer Hailey Welch, more commonly known by her alias “Hawk Tuah.” This call comes in the wake of the contentious debut of her memecoin, HAWK.
Coffezilla urged his 638,900 followers on December 6th via a post: “Let’s please stop the sensational headlines. Contrary to some reports, she didn’t rake in $500M and neither did she make a profit of $50M.
‘Let’s stay to what we know,’ says CoffeeZilla
According to Coffeezilla, the creators of the meme coin had “pre-sold several million coins” to strategic advisors, who subsequently “sold their holdings prematurely,” before other buyers “quickly purchased them.
Following the December 5th debut of Welch’s Hawk Tuah memecoin, there was widespread uproar on social media due to the token’s sudden price surge followed by a rapid decline, which occurred after its contentious launch, surrounded by accusations of suspicious activity such as snipers and insider wallets.
Ever since then, various speculations have circulated on the internet, ranging from potential lawsuits to accusations about earning money from the memecoin. However, much of this information has been deemed as false by Coffeezilla.
In a recent statement, CoffeeZilla commented, “There’s plenty to critique in this instance, and I certainly have my thoughts, yet it’s important to focus on what we can confirm. The team reportedly earned several million dollars.” However, he clarified that the precise sum remains undisclosed.
“According to Hawk’s lawyer she’s seen $125k and her tokens unlock in a year,” he said.
CoffeeZilla shuts down lawsuit rumors
I’m left wondering where exactly the proceeds from transaction fees and the presale are being directed right now, as that information seems to be elusive at the moment.
Meanwhile, he stated that no legal action has been taken yet:
“Oh and she isn’t being sued (yet) so literally everything in this post is misinformation.”
According to Burwick Law’s December 5th post, individuals affected by the launch are encouraged to reach out to the law firm to learn about their “legal options.
In his latest update on X published on December 5th, Welch asserted that what he posted earlier was a repetition or duplication of information.
In Hawk Economy, no team member has sold a token, and no Key Opinion Leader (KOL) received one for free. To deter token-sniping during launch, we set high fees at the beginning.
