As a seasoned cinema devotee with a penchant for quirky comedies, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming second season of “Colin from Accounts.” Having traversed the vast landscapes of entertainment over the years, I’ve seen my fair share of romantic comedies, but none quite like this one. The unique blend of humor, heart, and a special-needs dog named Colin has left me smitten.
The quirky Australian comedy show “Colin from Accounts” garnered massive popularity in the UK upon its initial release in 2023. Following its broadcast down under earlier this year, we are thrilled that the long-awaited second season will now be airing on BBC Two.
The second season, consisting of eight episodes, is set to premiere its first episode at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3rd, exclusively on BBC Two. Additionally, the full box set will be accessible for streaming on iPlayer.
In the first person, here’s how I’d rephrase it: This show, crafted by the talented couple Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, unfolds my story about Ash and Gordon – two individuals whose lives intertwine following a car accident and a wounded canine companion. Over time, they develop a unique relationship that is central to the series.
In the debut of the fresh season, Ash and Gordon embark on a mission to retrieve their cherished, handicapped canine, Colin, from his recent caretakers. Meanwhile, they grapple with deciding whether they’re pursuing a romantic connection or simply seeking companionship in the form of a pet.

When the BBC declared that they had obtained the UK broadcasting rights for season 2, Sue Deeks, head of programme acquisition, expressed that BBC viewers have fallen in love with this acclaimed romantic comedy. The characters Ashley, Gordon, and unconventional matchmaker Colin have won the hearts of these viewers.
“We’re really excited that there will be another season of the captivating Colin from Accounts, which we can all look forward to watching.”
Moving forward, I’m excited to share that I, as a supporter of Colin from Accounts, will also be supporting Patrick Brammall in his new role for Apple TV+ series The Dispatcher. This show is an adaptation of the 2011 novel by Ryan David Jahn with the same title.
