As a seasoned collector of all things nostalgic and a self-proclaimed McDonald’s enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement over their latest offering – the Collector’s Meal! Growing up in the ’80s and ’90s, I remember the sheer joy of finding that elusive Happy Meal toy or trading Beanie Babies with friends. The thrill of completing a collection still sends shivers down my spine, and McDonald’s is tapping right into that nostalgia with this limited-time package.
McDonald’s keeps on teaming up with popular culture icons. In Summer 2023, McDonald’s collaborated with Marvel Studios for the second season of Loki. The show included a vintage restaurant in it, and to match, McDonald’s launched a special meal on their actual menu. Previously this summer, McDonald’s teamed up with JiuJitsu Kaisen to create a “Special Grade Garlic Sauce” and introduced limited-time packaging featuring memorable names from the popular anime series. Now, McDonald’s is keeping the ball rolling by reintroducing beloved collectibles from well-known entertainment franchises.
McDonald’s Unveils Collector’s Meal
McDonald’s is putting an added emphasis on the keepsakes that come with its meals.
Excitedly speaking as a fan here, I can’t contain my enthusiasm over the latest announcement! McDonald’s is introducing the Collector’s Meal, a limited-time offering that promises to be a treasure trove for fans like me. This special package includes six collectible cups designed to spark new memories reminiscent of cherished, iconic collectibles from the past.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t deny the rush when I finally get my hands on that hard-to-find collectible or the last missing piece to complete my set. We’re reviving some of our most cherished keepsakes with a fresh take, giving fans an opportunity to possess something tangible that they can keep close. Morgan Flatley, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of New Business Ventures at McDonald’s, shared this exciting news. These new collectible cups celebrate some of our iconic designs and international partnerships throughout the years, enabling long-time fans to revisit cherished memories and helping a new generation create their own lasting stories.
Throughout the day, you can find “The Collector’s Meal” on McDonald’s menu. It offers a selection of these food choices:
- A Sausage McMuffin with Egg sandwich, Hash Brown and Hot Coffee during breakfast hours, or
- The choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac sandwich with our World Famous Fries and a soft drink throughout the rest of the day
