As a dedicated follower of the Gosselin family’s journey, I find myself deeply moved by Collin’s heartfelt words and longing for his siblings. Having grown up watching this extraordinary family on reality TV, it’s disheartening to see their personal struggles play out in public.
Collin Gosselin wishes things could be different with his siblings.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: Though my stepsiblings and I have found ourselves apart since my move-in with my father in 2018 following my stay at a facility initiated by our mom, I hold each of you in high regard and wish you nothing but the best.
Collin shared with Entertainment Tonight during an interview on August 13th, “I deeply cherish my siblings and would never cause them harm. I wouldn’t tarnish their reputation in the media, but I strongly feel that my mother plays a significant role in the things they say in the media about me. I believe if we were acquainted today, we’d have a wonderful friendship.”
TopMob News has reached out to Kate for comment on Collin’s latest claims and has not heard back.
Jon and Kate, who parted ways in 2009, are the parents of twins Cara and Madelyn Gosselin, aged 23, as well as sextuplets Collin, Leah, Alexis, Aaden, Joel, and Hannah Gosselin, all turning 20 this year.
Hannah, who also lives with Jon, is the only sibling that Collin has communication with.
Later on, Colin mentioned that his mom claimed he had “ruined” their family. He explained that he felt he was sent to an institution in 2016 to safeguard her public image.
As he recalled, he didn’t even say goodbye to his siblings, noting, “I didn’t know it was goodbye.”
Kate previously disputed Colin’s assertions regarding his departure, highlighting that it was primarily for safety reasons. In a 2023 Instagram statement, she expressed, “My dear son Collin, whom I hold closest to my heart, has been diagnosed with several psychiatric conditions throughout the years. To ensure the safety of myself, his siblings, and him, he was admitted to a healthcare facility after undergoing numerous outpatient treatments over the years.”
After his treatment, both Colin and Hannah have formed a strong relationship with their father, which remains solid until now.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say it this way: “I’ll be staying with him until I embark on my college journey at Penn State. Given my background in the Marines and my time spent in facilities, I was honorably discharged and am now eager to pursue finance. While we’re both going to miss our shared moments, I believe he’s excited for me to follow my own path.”
And that path may just revolve around future reality TV projects.
“He conceded that it seemed quite likely. He wasn’t sure about making it permanent, but he thought it could be beneficial to utilize that name, leverage its past, and potentially revisit it.”
Even though he’s not in touch with her now, Colin still had a message for his mother: “If I could speak to her, I’d urge her to keep seeking the truth,” he confided. “I’m tired of this struggle. I no longer wish to fight it.”
