In a fresh promotion, New Line is marketing their upcoming thriller “Companion” as being created by the “disturbingly inventive minds behind “Barbarian,” the unexpectedly successful horror film from 2022. Although Zack Cregger, who was involved in “Companion,” has a producer role, it’s important to note that he wasn’t the one who wrote and directed this film. Instead, Drew Hancock, known for producing the TV series “My Dead Ex ” and writing for “Suburgatory ” and “Blue Mountain State,”, is the writer and director of “Companion“.
The show boasts Yellowjackets’ Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid from The Boys. While the plot is somewhat unclear from the trailer, it gives a strong feel for the atmosphere, which shares similarities with Barbarian but also has unique differences, notably in terms of visual aesthetics and setting.

As a film enthusiast, I’ve just come across the sparse summary for the upcoming movie titled “Companion.” Unfortunately, this synopsis doesn’t offer much depth, leaving me eagerly anticipating more details. The comparison to “The Notebook” feels somewhat unusual, but I’m intrigued to see how these two narratives will intertwine and create a unique cinematic experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this enigmatic film!
Invitation from New Line Cinema, known for “The Notebook,” and the makers of the intriguing film “Barbarian,” warmly invites you to embark on an unprecedented love tale…
The movie titled “Companion” is set to hit theaters on January 31, 2025. This time of year usually sees a surge of genre films, some of which can be less than impressive, while others might surprise us. Here’s hoping that “Companion” turns out to be one of those hidden gems.

“I’ve seen it five times now – what I consider the best movie of all time.
DISCLAIMER: This film is only for those who yearn to pierce the radiant veil separating realities, and seek an encounter with the raw essence of divinity. It caters perfectly to the cinephile who not only desires to be disembodied but loathes the very idea of operating a physical form.”

Catwoman
Among the finest movies I’ve ever encountered in my life journey. From the tender age of 5, I’ve watched this particular film no less than 57 times, allowing me to deliver a comprehensive and impartial review. Despite growing older, my appreciation for it hasn’t waned; instead, I comprehend why Halle received a Razzie. Regardless, this masterpiece remains undiminished in value. The jewelry store scene stands as irrefutable proof of its artistic merit.

Dirty Grandpa
This is pure comedy, wouldn’t it be amazing if we had a movie featuring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Dustin Hoffman as middle-aged buddies, hanging out at strip clubs and casinos? That would truly be iconic!
Dragonball Evolution
Fantastic Four
Foodfight!
It’s alright if it’s not clear yet. It’s natural for people to want to comprehend, that’s just being human. There’s no need to fret over it.
Gigli
It’s clear that this website portrays this movie as nothing more than a heap of trash filled with timid cowards, rather than recognizing it as an intriguing display of madness featuring multiple Academy Award winners delivering mind-bending monologues. Disparaging Gigli is simple and unoriginal, similar to your friend who dismisses sports despite having little knowledge about them. On the other hand, experiencing DMT while appreciating the beauty in Gigli, all while acknowledging one’s humble role as a servant of cinema and the universe, could be seen as a divine path chosen by God.
Going Overboard
The Hottie & the Nottie
Jack and Jill
Who does Pacino seem to recall spending more on-screen moments with more fondly: Kevin Spacey or Jared Fogle? A truly excellent movie, highly rated at five stars!”
“Of the two actors he shared screen time with, who do you think Pacino cherishes memories of most: Kevin Spacey or Jared Fogle? This film is a must-watch and deserves a perfect 5-star rating!
Jaws: The Revenge
The Last Airbender
This movie is a true masterpiece, with an exceptional storyline and character development that’s hard to beat. However, it seems my brother wrote this review rather than me, as I haven’t had the chance to watch this film yet.
The Love Guru
Mac and Me
The moving story of the bond between a boy and an alien in this film left me in tears. Their friendship, transcending their differences, was both enlightening and engaging for children. It serves as a powerful and captivating lesson.
Madame Web
This blaze in a pit of hilarity is hands down the funniest moment I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life. The sequence where the character gets trapped in the car that plunges into the Hudson, I counted 32 edits within a scene barely lasting two minutes. Mind-blowing! The dialogue was priceless because it was so outrageous. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t help but cry. There was someone sitting next to me who took the whole thing very seriously and gave me a stern glance when I burst out in laughter at her realization that her mom cared about her. Ezekiel is undoubtedly the funniest character/antagonist in any film ever made. He delivered the best lines throughout the entire production. His voice was absurdly funny. At one point, I thought the mother’s name was Charlotte, but it turned out they changed it to Charlotte Webb. A baby even started crying during the climax and ending of the movie.
The Master of Disguise
This film is absolutely fantastic, a timeless classic! I adore that it’s surprisingly brief and yet still manages to pack a punch. A significant portion of the movie consists of opening and closing credits, which is quite unique. The world-building in this strange yet remarkably effective. The protagonist dons costumes that resemble a heap of trash and a human turtle. What more could one ask for? This film might have been responsible for shaping my problems and leaving an indelible mark on me during my childhood years. It’s truly a bizarre yet delightful piece of cinema. Destiny, destiny, destiny, destiny.
Meet the Spartans
Among the films I truly enjoy watching without irony, there’s one particular one that stands out. I share a family connection with the main actor. So far, he hasn’t responded to my messages. Sean, could you please respond? I’m starting to feel quite impatient.
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
The entire film is excellent, but the final twenty minutes are exceptionally good. At times, it seems like an amusing parody of adult films, which I praise rather than criticize. In my opinion, this is the best movie from M. Knight Shyamalan yet.
Movie 43
As a movie enthusiast, I’d rephrase the sentence as follows: “I recently came across some intriguing tidbits about popular actors. Hugh Jackman was seen gently touching a newborn baby’s head, Rihanna showed a moment of vulnerability, and Chris Pratt has an unusual interest in pottery.

The Room
Tonight I found an excellent method for enjoying THE ROOM: Sharing it with someone who has never even heard of it. The expressions on their face, especially during the initial scenes, were simply invaluable treasure. #Letterboxd
Or
Tonight I uncovered a fantastic approach to experiencing THE ROOM: Introducing it to someone who’s never even heard of it. Their reactions, particularly early on, were like finding hidden gold. #Letterboxd
Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2
Super Mario Bros.
Swept Away
I’m at a loss for words, but if I were to rate ‘Gigli’ with five stars, then it seems only fair that I give this… well, let’s just say it deserves the same rating.
365 Days
Regardless of other opinions, I consider this film fantastic. As a Polish woman, it stirred feelings within me that led me to imagine situations like getting abducted, going on a shopping spree, and having intimate moments.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey
At a Fathom Events screening, the film became unbearable early on as Mr. Winnie roughly handled Chris and gave him quite a beating. The projector could no longer handle it and shut down. As a result, I was given two complimentary tickets to watch any movie in the future. It’s been a while since something like this happened last time, and that was during the Kazaam screening. What an enduring impact!
