Conan O’Brien’s Hilarious Gift for Oscar Seat Fillers

Conan O’Brien should win gold for his kindness.

On March 2, 2025, as the audience enjoyed the comedian hosting the Oscars, they weren’t only entertained by his witty monologue. Surprisingly, both celebrities and staff found snack boxes under their seats, accompanied by a humorous note.

In the image shared by TopMob News, the note reads, “Dear Stand-in Snacker, I hope you delight in these free treats!” Conan added humorously, “I made an effort to slip in a gummy, but Disney declined. Enjoy your evening!

Besides the note (which included an adorable sketch of Conan), the box held a water bottle and a pretzel, as reported by one user on X (previously known as Twitter). (Feel free to explore the complete list of 2025 Oscar winners by clicking here.)

However, Conan’s generous gift during the event – a gesture similar to when Ellen DeGeneres delivered pizza to her audience in 2014 – wasn’t the only moment that brought smiles to people’s faces. In truth, his opening monologue was brimming with humor, and much of it aimed at nominees like Karla Sofía Gascón, whose previous tweets stirred up controversy before the awards began.

He expressed his affection for Anora, stating sincerely, “I truly adore Anora,” from the stage. Now, just to add, Anora has used the F-word a staggering 479 times, which is just three more than Karla Sofía Gascón’s publicist. Feigning shock, he cried out dramatically, “‘What did you say on Twitter?!’

He went on to say, ‘Tonight, we have Karla Sofía Gascón with us. Karla, should you decide to tweet about the Oscars, just remember that I am Jimmy Kimmel.’

In addition, O’Brien focused on Timothée Chalamet from the movie “A Complete Unknown”. He was spotted in a vibrant yellow suit, accompanied by his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, during this year’s Oscars red carpet event. (You can view all of the 2025 Oscars fashion here.)

Bob Dylan wanted to be here tonight,” O’Brien said, “but not that badly.”

As a dedicated follower, I too found myself drawn to Timothée Chalamet at the 2025 Oscars, resplendent in a vibrant yellow suit, accompanied by his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. (Feel free to explore the dazzling fashion on the red carpet here.)

“You will not get hit on your bike tonight,” Conan quipped. “Safe.”

He additionally mentioned Timothée’s part in the biopic, noting that “Bob Dylan” wished to be present tonight, yet not so desperately.
