Having delved deep into the realms of religious dramas with films like The Passion of the Christ and The Last Temptation of Christ, I can confidently predict that this film will leave an indelible mark in the annals of cinema.

Under the guidance of director Edward Berger (known for “All Quiet on the Western Front”), the film CONCLAVE is adapted from Robert Harris’ novel. It delves into one of the world’s most mysterious and historical events – the selection of a new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence, portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, is assigned to oversee this clandestine procedure following the sudden demise of the beloved Pope. As the Catholic Church’s top dignitaries convene from across the globe and are confined within the Vatican walls, Lawrence finds himself at the heart of a conspiracy and uncovers a secret that has the potential to shake the very core of The Church.

Featuring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini, this movie has garnered widespread acclaim since its debut at the Toronto Film Festival.
