Concord Branded Dead On Arrival As Its Player Counts Hit a New Low

As a long-time fan of first-person shooter games, I have been eagerly anticipating the release of Concord by Firewalk Studios. The cinematic reveal trailer had me hooked, and I was excited to jump into the game’s beta phase to get a feel for what it had to offer. However, my excitement quickly dwindled as I learned of the abysmally low player counts during the beta tests on PC.

The number of players for Concord Betas on PC was extremely small, leading to a great deal of criticism and pessimism about the game.

Firewalk Studios’ game, Concord, has faced less-than-favorable criticism since its unveiling. The response to this hero shooter has been tepid at best, with the cinematic trailer amassing a shocking 33,000 dislikes. It was up to Concord’s beta phase to win back skeptical players by showcasing hidden strengths. Unfortunately, based on current player numbers, it appears that effort didn’t yield the desired results.

Concord’s Player Counts Are Abysmally Low

During Concord’s PC Betas, the number of simultaneous players never surpassed 2,500. This is surprising, given the game’s esteemed background and substantial marketing investment. Based on SteamDB data, the average number of players during this phase was between 300 and 400, with a peak of only 2,388 individuals.

As a long-time gamer and proud owner of both a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, I have to admit that I was quite excited when Concord’s beta testing phase was announced. However, my experience during the closed beta tests left me feeling rather disappointed and frustrated.
