Concord is Estimated to Have Sold Just 25,000 Units Since Launch

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the release of Concord has left me rather bewildered and disappointed. With eight long years in development, I had high hopes for this first-person hero shooter, especially given its pedigree as a major first-party PlayStation release. But alas, it appears to have fallen flat on its face, at least judging by the paltry sales numbers and concurrent player counts we’ve seen so far.

From the very beginning, Concord appeared destined for failure. Now that the first-person shooter game has been released, it’s not just receiving indifferent reviews from critics and the public, but the number of people who have discovered it has been surprisingly small.

Based on reports from industry analyst Simon Carless (through a report published by IGN), it’s estimated that the game Concord has sold approximately 25,000 copies since its launch about a week ago. Out of these sales, around 15,000 were on PlayStation platforms, with the remaining 10,000 being purchased on PC systems.

Despite being surprisingly low sales figures for a significant first-party PlayStation launch, unfortunately, this poor performance aligns with Concord’s track record to date. For example, upon its release on Steam, it only had around 700 simultaneous players. Given that the game has been in development for eight years, such a weak start is far from satisfactory.

In our assessment of “Concord”, we rated it 6 out of 10, commenting that “Firewalk Studios’ ‘Concord’ focuses almost entirely on its Galactic Guide, leaving minimal room for gameplay enhancement. While the game offers satisfying gunplay and striking visuals, these elements are somewhat limited in impact when compared to other games, particularly those offering superior free alternatives.” You can read the complete review by following this link.
