As a veteran gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that I was quite excited for the release of Concord. Having played countless hero shooters over the years, I had high hopes for this new entry from Firewalk Studios and Sony. However, it seems like my excitement may have been premature, as the game’s launch has been met with disappointingly low player numbers.
On August 20, Concord was made accessible in early access for deluxe edition owners. However, today marks the full live release of this multiplayer hero shooter from Firewalk Studios and Sony on all platforms. To celebrate its launch, a trailer has been unveiled – take a look below!
It appears that Concord isn’t experiencing significant popularity among players, based on SteamDB statistics. At the time of writing, the game’s highest number of simultaneous players on Steam is only 697, which is relatively low for a major first-party release and even lower than the less-than-impressive numbers it had during its beta phase.
Firewalk Studios and Sony previously declared that Concord’s inaugural post-release season will commence in October, featuring a fresh Freegunner character, a new map, and additional content. The second season is slated to debut in January of next year for further updates on the game’s plan, visit this link.
Concord is available on PS5 and PC.
