Core Keeper Hits 3 Million Players

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that I’ve seen games come and go, some leaving lasting impressions, others fading into oblivion. However, every once in a while, a diamond like Core Keeper emerges from the rough, capturing the hearts of gamers worldwide.

Following a two-year stint in early access, the game Core Keeper was officially released for PC and modern consoles last month. Given the positive reception it’s received and its success during its extended early access phase, it’s not surprising that it’s off to a strong start.

Through Twitter, the developers of Core Keeper, known as Pugstorm, have shared that their sandbox survival game has amassed over 3 million players. Previously, in November of last year, when the game was still in early access, they announced it had sold 2 million copies. Since its console launch and addition to Game Pass, they’ve been reporting player numbers instead of sales. Regardless, Core Keeper is still drawing a substantial player base.

In our assessment of Core Keeper, we gave it a rating of 8 out of 10, noting that despite games like Terraria and Valheim dominating the news, Core Keeper presents a formidable challenge. Its captivating gameplay, impressive visual style, and wealth of content make it an appealing choice for exploration. For more detailed insights, check out our complete review here.

Tomorrow, September 17th, “Core Keeper” will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, in addition to its current availability on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news: We’ve reached a significant achievement with 3 million players joining us! 🎉 The underworld is buzzing with Explorers, and we’re delighted to welcome you on this incredible adventure ✨
