As a seasoned Coronation Street viewer, I must say that the latest episode was nothing short of riveting! The twists and turns left me reeling, especially the dramatic car incident involving Debbie Webster and poor Shona Platt.

In the most recent episode of Coronation Street, an unexpected turn of events unfolded, with another crime occurring that implicated some characters who might surprise you!
As Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) navigated her fresh vehicle over the cobblestones, she narrowly missed colliding with young Bertie Osbourne, who darted across the street in excitement to catch a glimpse of Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
Previously upset with Debbie due to her involvement in the cosmetic company that messed up Bethany’s procedure, Dad Daniel (Rob Mallard) let loose another scolding at Debbie for her most recent actions.
Bethany felt indifferent yet agreed to have a drink with Daniel despite this, and in the end, they resolved their disagreement following their argument, which had resulted in Bethany’s deception about the real reason for her stoma surgery being revealed.
However, when Bethany noticed Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) sporting one of her tops, she felt upset to learn that Daniel had lent Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) some of her clothes for safekeeping. Moreover, he revealed Bethany’s insecurities to Daisy in the process!
Daniel tried to forget his troubles by drinking excessively and stumbling about outside. Spotting Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) leave the keys to his sister Debbie’s newly fixed car near the tire, Daniel impulsively chose to drive it recklessly.
In this scenario, Daisy saw the event unfold with surprise, and following Daniel’s car accident, she instructed him to exit and took control herself. Later on, she informed him that the situation had been resolved, albeit she declined to share specifics about it.
Following a night’s rest to sober up, Daniel expressed gratitude towards Daisy before departing from the Rovers. Meanwhile, Daisy was troubled by her own actions.
Previously, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) decided to pay a visit to her former lover, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), at his hotel. However, she later had second thoughts and departed from his room after reconsidering.
Initially, she found herself tending to a wounded limb (arm), while it’s been officially disclosed that Shona became entangled in the tumultuous situation caused by Debbie’s hijacked vehicle. Previously unknown details have emerged, and it turns out that Daniel played a part in these events.
Kit was encouraged to speak with Sarah Platt, who happened to be close by when Debbie’s keys were left and who had a history of damaging that very same car.
Initially, Kit felt relieved as Sarah hadn’t used the car, but upon reviewing the CCTV footage at the police station, he spotted his love interest, Daisy, behind the wheel of Debbie’s vehicle instead!
Could it be that Shona was struck by the car, or is there a possibility that Daniel may have caused the harm instead, as both he and Daisy apparently overlooked the fact that Shona was injured when they departed?
