Coronation Street airs furious clash for Daisy Midgeley after tragedy in ITVX release

As a devoted fan, I found myself seething with anger when I uncovered the real cause of Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) tragic car accident and subsequent miscarriage in the recent episode of Coronation Street. The revelations have left me reeling.

Last week, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) set up a tragic scenario where he intentionally placed himself in a position to be run over by Andy Garland’s (Andrew Goth) car. Unfortunately, Daisy, who is pregnant, was unintentionally caught in the crossfire.

Prior to discovering that Daisy had suffered a misfortune, David’s spouse Shona (played by Julia Goulding) threatened her regarding a past traffic accident that she hadn’t reported, hoping to force the Platts to settle their debt with Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

David was horrified that Daisy had lost her baby because of him, and decided to come clean to her.

Daisy felt both surprised and enraged, yet it wasn’t immediately clear if she planned to inform authorities about the committed offense.

In the meantime, Daisy persisted in ignoring Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), who had intruded into her life lately and made a mistake regarding the recent incident.

At The Rovers, Daisy sought solace in alcohol to numb her distress, and it was Daniel Osbourne, her former fiancé (played by Rob Mallard), who showed up to assist, offering an apology for seemingly disregarding her sorrow.

Daisy understood, but insisted that they could not be together as their relationship was “toxic”.

Later on, Daniel subtly hinted to Daisy that she was known for standing up for herself, and when Shona pleaded with her not to inform Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) or the authorities about David’s misdeeds, Daisy remained resolute, disregarding Shona as Jenny expelled her from their presence.

When Jenny advised Daisy to stand up against the Platts’ bullying, Daisy retaliated angrily, blaming Jenny for her part in the paternity dispute over Daisy’s baby, which she believed had indirectly resulted in Daisy being hit by a car.

When Jenny told Daisy not to let the Platts bully her, Daisy snapped back at Jenny, saying that Jenny’s meddling in Daisy’s baby paternity drama had ultimately led to the unfortunate incident where Daisy got hit by a car.

“You are the reason my baby died, and I will never forgive you for it.”

Will Daisy and Jenny manage to reconcile, and will David find himself imprisoned due to his part in the events that transpired?
