Coronation Street airs terrifying Rob Donovan cliffhanger in ITVX release

After convincing Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) to allow him to spend the night, Rob requested that she fetch his counterfeit passport for him.

When Tracy objected to aiding a murderer, Rob nonchalantly pointed out that she too had committed such an offense – Tracy’s case was just that she had managed to escape punishment for killing Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) by sheer luck.

Fearing her father’s reaction since she shouldn’t have been there in the first place due to her past actions, Tracy found herself eager for Rob to depart. In the end, she reluctantly complied with his request.

However, it was Employee Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) who noticed Tracy, promptly approaching her when she attempted to make Rob leave the area.

Later, feigning Tommy Orpington’s (Matt Milburn) presence at home and suggesting a heated moment between them, Tracy managed to send Mary away. However, she discovered Rob in pain instead.

Despite continuing to struggle with complications following the kidney transplant that rescued his sister Carla Connor (Alison King), Rob retained enough strength to point his gun whenever he believed his hiding place might be exposed.

Following his demand to leave together after taking the bullets out of the gun, Tracy found herself surprised and immediately expressed that such a scenario would never transpire.

While Carla was at the hospital, she noticed Rob’s expectant prison guard partner Mandy (Rebecca Atkinson). Later, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) led Mandy into an interrogation room, during which Mandy revealed that Rob possessed a firearm.

In the Barlow residence, Rob snatched some ammunition when Tracy stepped out, then he prepared the firearm and aimed it at Tracy, insisting on meeting Carla.

Will Carla find herself in greater peril next week, with a gunshot potentially echoing through the air, could Robert be the one to take her life? Or might another individual bear the consequences of his audacious getaway?
