Coronation Street episode guide for Christmas and New Year
Monday 23rd December – Hour-long episode at 8pm
In a turn of events, Nick Tilsley, played by Ben Price, comes back from Tenerife. At the Bistro, Leanne guides him into the office and confides in him about a predicament concerning the financial records. As Nick delves into the matter, he notices transactions to TLH Holdings and promptly contacts the bank to halt their account.
Upon arriving at work, Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) is eager to see Nick, but shortly after, DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) takes her into custody for charges of theft and fraudulent misuse of trust! Toyah asserts her innocence to Nick, suggesting that she believes Leanne has framed her.
As a devoted cinephile, I find myself eagerly following the storyline of our favorite characters. Just recently, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) reached out to Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), expressing her curiosity about Lauren’s upcoming plea hearing. Meanwhile, Alya, a pregnant solicitor, took the time to consult with a genetic counselor. The purpose of this consultation was to discuss the tests that would determine if her unborn child could potentially serve as a suitable donor for Frankie, who is currently unwell.
Lauren is advised that if she opts for ‘not guilty’, her trial will ensue, potentially unearthing an unflattering part of her history. However, Max Turner (Paddy Bever) informs Lauren that by admitting guilt to a lesser charge, Frankie may misunderstand that his mother was the one who killed his father, when in reality, it’s more complex than that.

It appears that Debbie’s comment about Shona feeling comfortable at the hotel last night has sparked David’s curiosity, as he overheard their conversation. Has his initial suspicion been validated?
Peeking into Nick’s briefcase, Leanne discovers a Christmas gift meant for Toyah, causing her anger. Later at the police station, she exhibits a stack of gifts from Nick to Toyah, giving Craig Tinker the impression that they are involved in some sort of secret collaboration.
Christmas Day, Wednesday 25th December – Hour-long episode at 7pm

As David unwraps presents, he begins to suspect Shona because she hasn’t opened the aftershave he found in her bag. Later, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) arrives with an aroma of aftershave and reveals it was a Christmas gift. When David extends an invitation for a birthday drink to Adam, David discreetly sips water as Adam guzzles whiskey instead.

At the Bistro, Toyah collaborates with Nick on preparations for Gail’s wedding, informing him that Leanne has temporarily lifted her ban for this special event. When the guests start pouring in, the police unexpectedly appear and request to interrogate Nick and Toyah regarding allegations of fraudulent activities.
In a different setting, Kit displays the TLH Holdings account to Nick who adamantly claims he’s never laid eyes on it before. Meanwhile, at the train station, a dispute between Leanne and Toyah intensifies into a physical altercation, which is captured on camera by Max.
I’m thrilled to behold Bethany, all elegantly adorned and radiating the familiar charm that I admire so much. However, when she bestowed upon me a valuable vintage timepiece, my reaction seemed lackluster, causing Bethany to feel distressed and believe I no longer desire her company.
Daniel reassures her that it’s not what it seems and then goes down on one knee to propose marriage to her. So, what will Bethany say in response?
Friday 27th December – Hour-long episode at 8pm

As a discerning movie-goer, I found myself questioning the actions of Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) during a recent film viewing. Upon close examination, he notices an intriguing detail: Leanne appears to be carrying two mobile phones.
Max shares with Lily (Brooke Malonie) details of the argument between Leanne and Toyah. In response, Lily expresses her opinion that it was actually Uncle Nick who should have been punched, since he was the one who was unfaithful!
Kit proposes to Daisy that they take a stroll together, and afterwards, Bethany expresses gratitude to Daisy for taking care of her garments and mentions that she’d like them back since she’s feeling more self-assured now.
Ken Barlow (William Roache) unwraps a gift from Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) and is delighted – it’s an album by his favourite composer. Cassie is thrilled when Ken gives her a scarf from Porto.
Monday 30th December – Hour-long episode at 8pm
A furious row breaks out between Kit and David, but Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) reminds Kit that David was a good mate to the late Paul Foreman (Peter Ash). David returns home, where Max and Lily demand answers and Shona explains that David prevented her from seeing her son Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison).
David plans to trick Kit into admitting he framed Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper), but Kit recognizes David’s scheme and instead chooses to pursue justice himself.
Leanne returns to her apartment, while Nick and Toyah observe from afar. Upon learning from Dee-Dee that Leanne might receive a prison sentence, Toyah urges Nick to withdraw the charges against her.
In a simpler manner, we could say: On the phone from jail, Lauren confesses her fear regarding the upcoming trial. However, Max struggles to conceal the fact that the case will involve some of the most formidable lawyers.
As a passionate cinephile, I find myself in a unique situation, much like Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) in the Coronation Street narrative. I’m planning to make a significant change, just as he contemplates moving out. Meanwhile, Ken notices that Cassie seems off her usual self. The emotional turmoil within her reaches a boiling point, and she breaks down in tears, confessing that she’s accumulated a substantial debt while buying thoughtful gifts for our loved ones.
Lisa, under stress, discloses a burst pipe in her apartment that’s caused flooding. Carla offers to let Lisa and Betsy stay with her for New Year’s Eve, but when they move in, Carla finds documents about the murder of someone named Becky among Lisa’s belongings, making the situation uncomfortable for Carla.

Instead of grumbling about feeling purposeless, Roy Cropper proposes that Evelyn consider pursuing a law degree!
Leanne accidentally runs into a group consisting of Nick, Toyah, and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan). They’re headed to the city for Nick’s birthday celebration.
New Year’s Day, Wednesday 1st January 2025 – Hour-long episode at 7pm
Roy becomes worried when he notices Carla acting strangely, hearing things and looking confused, so he recommends she goes home to get some rest. However, his concern for her deepens as he enters her apartment and finds her unconscious on the floor. Later at the hospital, a doctor shares his suspicion that Carla might be suffering from sepsis.
Lisa doesn’t realize what’s happening between Carla because she’s busy pursuing Matty after his release, confronting him at the station about where he was on the night Becky was murdered. Kit advises Lisa to stay away, so she goes home with bouquets and wine, but discovers no trace of Carla.
Sarah becomes worried when she observes Daniel talking to Daisy, and when Daisy starts crying, Sarah approaches her in the background and enquires about her wellbeing.

This revelation leaves Mason visibly startled, prompting him to ask Dylan to maintain vigil while he investigates Matty and Logan’s apartment. Later, Mason and Dylan head to the police station and present Lisa with an old WWII helmet they discovered in their siblings’ residence. Is this artifact potentially useful for Lisa’s investigation?
The doctor shocks Carla with the news that the sepsis has damaged her kidney and she may need another transplant. Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) returns from Ireland, while Lisa realises Carla lied about her whereabouts.
