Actor Adam Hussain, known for playing Aadi Alahan on the long-running British series “Coronation Street,” has revealed that he is parting ways with the show, bringing an end to his five-year stint on the program’s famous set.
The character made its debut in the year 2006, and Hussain took over the role since 2020. Since then, he has been involved in significant plotlines such as romances with Summer Spellman, Amy Barlow, Kelly Neelan, and Courtney Vance.
Hussain publicly announced his departure from Coronation Street on Instagram with the following message: “Well, it seems the cat’s out of the bag now! Some of you might have caught wind that I’m moving on to fresh opportunities.
For five years, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge about the world and my industry, feeling well-prepared to venture out and explore new opportunities. The friendships forged here are ones that will endure, and I will dearly miss being part of this unique community.

He went on to say: “I’m not saying goodbye to Aadi, but rather, I’ll see you again soon! I can’t wait to discover what lies ahead! Thank you, @coronationstreet and @itv, for the opportunity to bring this character to life for you. Until we meet again!” – Adam.
According to Metro’s reports, Aadi will continue appearing on the soap opera through the end of summer, so fans can anticipate seeing more of his character in upcoming episodes.
Among several popular actors, Hussain is one of those who will be leaving the soap in the upcoming months. This includes Eileen Grimshaw played by Sue Cleaver, Julie Carp portrayed by Katy Cavanagh, Daisy Midgeley acted by Charlotte Jordan, Mick Michaelis played by Joe Layton, Lou Michaelis depicted by Farrel Hegarty, and Craig Tinker represented by Colson Smith.
Recently, Smith expressed his feelings about parting ways, stating: “Leaving will always tug at my heartstrings. I’ll forever yearn for that place. It was more than just a location; it was my home, my family. The people there played a significant role in shaping who I am today.
Experiencing a significant change after dedicating 14 years to something, and realizing it’s no longer part of my routine, is both strange yet thrilling. I can’t wait to explore new opportunities and enjoy some leisure time – it seems like the beginning of a fresh phase in my life.
