The soap opera’s knack for crafting compelling narratives that keep viewers guessing never ceases to impress me!
Well, well, well – Shona and Kit have been up to no good!
Upcoming episodes of Coronation Street will reveal that Shona Platt (played by Julia Goulding) and Kit Green (portrayed by Jacob Roberts) will spend a private night together. However, the specifics of their encounter won’t be shown, but viewers can expect a series of hidden truths and deceptions to unfold instead.
Over the next few weeks, it’s likely that Shona and David Platt’s (played by Jack P Shepherd) relationship will worsen when she discovers that he’s been concealing messages from Clayton in prison. He did this, supposedly, to spare Shona extra stress, but the secret will only serve to strain their bond.
As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but feel the familiar buzz of anticipation as I predict a dazzling display of dramatic fireworks in Coronation Street. And who else could be involved but the enigmatic newcomer, Kit? The question remains, will Shona act on impulse in a moment she may later come to regret? The suspense is killing me!
It seems unlikely that she’s had romantic feelings for Kit, as he doesn’t seem to have caught her attention. Given her loyalty, it might be more about seeking revenge instead.
Despite this, Goulding found it hard to believe Shona would be unfaithful to David, given her history of faithfulness over their eight-year relationship, but eventually, circumstances drove her to do so.
In my opinion, she’s always kept her eyes only for herself, romantically speaking. However, I believe circumstances compelled her to change that. Regardless, I stand by her in this situation.
Regarding Jacob Roberts, the actor portraying Kit, it came as an equal shock to him when the scripts were received, revealing that his character, Kit, is the one with whom Shona carries on an affair.
It seems like during the interview, Shona may have shared some details about the situation with you, Kit, and David might have inadvertently been part of it. This could be why David appears to feel sympathetic towards you.
Yet, it’s worth mentioning that Roberts points out there’ll be no hints of flirtation between Shona and Kit on screen, making their interactions all the more unexpected.
