*Warning: Contains spoilers for Wednesday 14th May’s Coronation Street episode.*
In the soap opera Coronation Street, Joe Layton’s character, Mick Michaelis, seems to be rapidly increasing the number of adversaries on his list, as if he doesn’t foresee any future days. This escalation is happening due to the enigmatic connection between him and Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts.
One day, young Liam Connor, portrayed by Charlie Wrenshall, ended up being confined within a tool shed at a construction site due to Mick, leaving him stuck there for the entire afternoon. As a result, he unfortunately had to skip his school examination.
On the following day, Liam’s mom, Maria (Samia Longchambon), and dad, Gary Windass (Mikey North), learned of the incident with shock and dismay.
he locked Mick in the same location and feigned departure for about a minute, making it seem like he was abandoning Mick there for the entire day.
Gary soon released Mick and sacked him, but later, Mick was out for revenge and punched Gary.
While Gary was defending himself and Mick kept attacking, Kit unexpectedly arrived at the scene, fully aware that it was Mick who initiated the conflict.
However, it was only when Gary grabbed a bottle with the intention of using it against Mick, that Kit intervened and commanded Gary to let go of it instead.
Later on, Detective Kit simply instructed the duo to leave, leaving Gary astonished that Kit, the detective, hadn’t apprehended Mick instead.
Maria was taken aback at the condition of a wounded Gary, but things took a turn for the worse as Kit called Gary to the police station to interrogate him regarding Mick’s accusation of unlawful confinement.
When Gary asked Kit about him sparing Mick, Kit warned that he would publicly disclose their conversation and face serious repercussions for Gary, thus leaving Gary in a difficult situation.
As Gary informed Maria that he intended to consult Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) regarding the appropriate individual to discuss corrupt Kit with, it became evident that Mick was provoking Kit, who seemed to be trying to balance things out between them concerning what Mick might have on him.
In his apartment, Kit took a long look at a collection of old photos featuring him and Mick from their teenage years, ultimately discarding them into the trash can.
As a film enthusiast, I found myself feeling anxious when my long-lost mom, Bernie Winter (played by Jane Hazlegrove), showed up unexpectedly. Not too long after her arrival, she stumbled upon some old, forgotten photos, and it stirred up a whirlwind of emotions within me.
On this coming Friday, we delve into the past as we uncover the mysterious events that transpired among Kit, Mick, and Mick’s spouse Lou (played by Farrel Hegarty) during their younger years.
What is their secret?
