Corrie’s Jodie Prenger hopes Glenda will settle down and find love again – with Pedro Pascal

As a huge fan of Jodie Prenger and her character Glenda Shuttleworth in Coronation Street, I can’t help but feel for her after her recent heartbreak. I remember when I went through a similar experience, and it’s never an easy feeling. Glenda has been through so much, from being rejected by Michael Bailey to trying out various dating apps, and it’s about time she finds true love.

Jodie Prenger’s Coronation Street character Glenda Shuttleworth has been going through a difficult period since Ryan Russell’s character, Michael Bailey, ended their relationship.

“To be honest, your discussion about Glenda and Michael brings back painful memories for me as I was recently heartbroken by a breakup,” Prenger commented, trying to keep a light tone.

“I wish she can experience love once more. To be clear, if Pedro Pascal asks to appear on the show, I’d be delighted to oblige.”

For the first time, I have exciting news for Coronation Street enthusiasts: Glenda’s ideal partner, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, could soon join the cast. Feel free to check out Prenger’s interview above for more details.

Before the awards ceremony, Prenger was queried about her feelings towards Glenda’s new love interest. She replied: “May the best for her, she’s tried online dating. Michael broke things off and I’m not fully healed yet, but who knows, she had a brief fling with a younger man.”

A number of spectators hope that she and Steve McDonald will become a couple. One fan went as far as comparing them to Jack and Vera. In my past, I sported a rigid perm similar to Vera’s, and I used to don large glasses.

As a movie buff, I’d put it this way: “I had the unmistakable resemblance of Russell Grant and Deirdre Barlow combined. How could Steve McDonald not be drawn to that? I can only imagine what Tracy would think – I deeply miss her character on the show.”
