Country Icon’s Shocking Win: Gretchen Wilson Crowned Masked Singer Season 13 Champ!

Season 13 of The Masked Singer proved to be very lucky for one star.

As a connoisseur of all things entertainment, I must say that the recent run of the Fox singing competition has been nothing short of extraordinary. With each passing week, we were treated to unforgettable performances and moments that left us speechless. But as the dust settles, it’s clear that only four exceptional talents will be gracing the stage for the grand finale on May 7: Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Mad Scientist, and Coral.

Ultimately, Pearl emerged victorious and received the Golden Mask trophy as her prize. Yet, prior to being revealed, the secret celebrity took a moment to reminisce about their path from humble beginnings in the music world years ago, all the way up to triumphing on The Masked Singer.

She confessed in a video clip, “Every time I wear this Pearl costume, I find it surprising that I can pull off being this bedazzled princess. It’s just not me. I feel more like myself in a hoodie and sweatpants. After all, I’m tough, real, and uncompromising. I’ve always been this way. And sometimes, especially when I was just beginning, it hindered my progress.

Pearl then recounted the feeling of insecurity she felt auditioning early in her career.

One time, I sang for a record executive, and as I glanced sideways, I noticed him jotting down ‘no.’ Just then, I felt the brink of tears, but I held it together and carried on with my audition. Later, I learned that note actually said ‘now,’ meaning sign her now or immediately.

One little letter might seem insignificant, but it’s made a world of difference in my case. For so long, I feel people have underestimated what I can do, but being here has given me the opportunity to break free from my comfort zone and demonstrate my full potential at last.

Following an electrifying rendition of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall, Pearl emerged victorious in the competition. She outshone Boogie Woogie (Andy Grammer), Coral (Meg Donnelly from The Zombies), and Mad Scientist (formerly known as Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line).

It turns out that the mystery personality wearing the sparkling outfit was none other than country artist Gretchen Wilson. Interestingly, Robin Thicke was the only one who correctly identified her.

“I am floored,” the “Redneck Woman” singer said. “I almost hit the floor.

Gretchen went on to explain why she wanted to compete on The Masked Singer.

Over the past few years, I’ve encountered some tough times. I sustained an injury that left me confined to a wheelchair, and at one point, I questioned if I would ever regain my previous vitality. However, with unwavering determination and faith, I put in countless hours of effort and prayer, and I have made significant strides forward.

The Grammy-winning artist commented, “This experience has shown me beyond doubt that there are no limits to what I can achieve.
