Starting from a playful hint in March, Epic Games has now confirmed that fresh Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles elements are set to appear in Rocket League. The upcoming week is filled with exciting collaboration content tied to this franchise, featuring a novel limited-time mode. In the Pizza Party LTM, instead of the Soccar Ball, there’s a giant pizza on the field. Since players can’t jump, they must employ grappling hooks to score it into the opposing team’s net. This mode is scheduled to go live on April 22nd at 5 p.m. PT and will stay in the game until May 1st, also at the same time.
In this collaboration, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are another major attraction alongside Rocket League. Players can expect an abundance of TMNT-themed elements within the game. Specifically, there will be 11 Challenge Rewards tied to the franchise, which include banners, a topper, wheels, and other items. Each member of the Turtles – Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo – will have their own individual banner. The Turtle Power topper showcases all four turtles together, as if emerging from the sewer in a team formation.
In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, gooey ooze plays a significant role, and among the challenge rewards is a TCRI Ooze Boost, complete with a vibrant green trail. By participating in ten online matches, players can also earn an Ooze Canister as part of a completion challenge. Upon collection, these canisters can be opened from your inventory, revealing a random item hailing from either the Accelerator, Triumph, or Zephyr series. The bonus? You can collect up to five Ooze Canisters in total!
The standout novelty, yet, is the Turtle Van, often referred to as the Party Wagon. This legendary vehicle from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is now up for grabs in a bundle priced at 2500 Credits. The package comprises the Turtle Van Car Body (Merc Hitbox) equipped with standard wheels and a Classic Decal. Additionally, it offers various alternate Decal choices, enabling players to customize their Van according to their preferences. The Pizza Box Decal lends a red and white look to the Turtle Van, while the Vandalized Decal makes it seem like Bebop and Rocksteady have given it a fresh coat of paint. Moreover, players can personalize the Van with their own color scheme using the “fully tintable” Classic (Custom) Decal.
To put it simply, this event appears to be an exciting one for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Both Paramount and Nickelodeon have been featuring the turtle heroes in a variety of live-action games recently, not to mention their own individual video games. It seems like we’re experiencing a golden age for TMNT enthusiasts at present!
