Marko Bošnjak is Croatia’s representative at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.

Later, he introduced his first single by way of its release. In the year 2024, he publicly acknowledged his sexual orientation as gay and graced Pride festivities in Zagreb and Sarajevo with his performances.

The tune recounts the tale of an individual crafting a deadly dessert, intending it as retribution for past transgressions inflicted upon them by others.
Before the upcoming Dora contest, Marko shared that he hadn’t intended to come back so quickly, yet the allure of the song proved irresistible for him to participate once more.
He mentioned that the tune was a message of self-empowerment. In an interview with WiwiBloggs, he shared that he didn’t anticipate returning within the next five years until he stumbled upon this incredible song.

After winning Dora, Marko said: “Winning Dora and setting the internet on fire? Guilty as charged.
Although some might feel taken aback (and maybe even a tad overwhelmed), the outpouring of affection and encouragement from numerous amazing individuals serves as a constant reminder for me about the reasons behind my actions.
Regardless of what others may say, my sole concentration is setting foot on that stage in Basel and giving an unforgettable performance. The best is still to come, I assure you.
He later told the official Eurovision team: “Let them eat cake!”

In the previous year, Croatia came very close to taking home the title at the Eurovision Song Contest; their representative, Baby Lasagna, performed the song titled “Rim Tim Tagi Dim.
I was thrilled to be part of the band that managed to secure the runner-up spot in the finals, marking a historic achievement for our country with an impressive total of 547 points.
They were beaten by Switzerland track The Code by Nemo, which won with 591 points.
