As a long-time fan who has been eagerly awaiting the return of our scaly friend Croc for 27 years, I must admit that I was initially disappointed by this delay. However, upon reflection, I realized that I’ve waited this long already, so what’s another year or two? After all, quality over quantity is the mantra I live by, and it seems Argonaut Games shares my philosophy.
The reimagined edition of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos by Argonaut Games has been pushed back from its original release date in December to the first quarter of 2025. Players can look forward to downloading it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via GOG. For those who prefer physical copies, the game will be available for PlayStation 5 and Switch through distributor Rock It Games.
Here is the full message from Argonaut Games on the delay:
Dear Croc fans,
As an excited fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the upcoming remaster of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos! After much deliberation, we’ve decided to slightly delay its release into Q1 2025. Rest assured, this wasn’t a decision taken lightly, but we feel that additional time is crucial to perfect every detail and deliver a game that truly lives up to our ambitions and your expectations for quality.
It’s clear that after 27 years of anticipation, this update might seem a bit disheartening, considering the upcoming holiday season. Nevertheless, our aim has consistently been to produce a game that shines with quality and finesse to give you an unforgettable experience. We truly value your patience and backing as we strive to reintroduce Croc in the most exceptional manner.
Appreciate your patience and eagerness, everyone! We’re thrilled to have you re-live the enchantment of Croc soon!
Warmest regards,
The team at Argonaut Games
