It seems that the BBC has requested me to host their shows, but unfortunately, my schedule often conflicts with this arrangement. As a result, I find myself in a supporting position, primarily handling paperwork and expressing disapproval.

As a fellow enthusiast, let me reminisce about our shared journey on “Weekly Wipe”. Regrettably, it’s no longer airing, but my own venture remains vibrant. I can only imagine the challenges that come with its absence for you. So, kindly share, what have you been engrossed in since then?

In my spare time, I create intricate miniatures by painting human faces on wooden pegs. Meanwhile, I’ve been closely observing and feeling a mix of admiration and envy as you soar to new heights in your career.

PC Anyway, Cunk on Life. Pretend I don’t know about it — what’s it about?

CB We sent you on a quest to uncover the meaning of life. You interviewed philosophers, scientists, theologians, and even got to visit the Large Hadron Collider with Brian Cox.

PC, it seems like you’ve been working on the edit. I have a feeling that some of the less favorable parts were intentionally included. More often than not, you make me appear quite foolish.

CB I don’t think that’s true. We make you look like an absolute idiot all the time.

You Have explored various topics such as Britain, Earth, and Life with Cunk. It seems all bases are covered. What’s the next exciting adventure you have in store for me?

CB Firstly, there’s an endless list of topics you don’t understand, so we’ll never run out of material. Secondly, chances are you’ve already forgotten everything you learned about life in Cunk on Life, so we could just do that one again. You wouldn’t notice.

Apart from being part of the lesser-known series “Black Mirror,” similar to the character Cunk, you’re also known for another show. It seems that this one primarily revolves around technology, isn’t that right? Does the thought of being replaced by a robot ever cross your mind? I find it highly unlikely that I could be replaced by a robot. I simply don’t spend enough time near power outlets.

User How can I be sure that you’re not just a less intelligent version of ChatGPT pretending to be dumb? I suspect they could operate a ChatGPT model on a ZX Spectrum and still have enough memory left for a decent game of Pac-Man.

PC No, I didn’t understand any of that.

CB I know.

PC I’m used to interviewing experts. Have you ever met someone who is an expert in their field?

Me: Could you explain what’s happening in that open space? Apologies if it sounded like I was projecting myself into your role there for a moment. I must have gotten a bit mixed up.

PC, do you think you could imagine hosting a trivia show? I myself came close to hosting University Challenge, only missing out at the final two candidates.

CB Really?

PC Yeah, but Amol Rajan pipped me to the post because he said he’d bring his own packed lunch. That was a deal-breaker for me.

CB I’m sorry for your loss.
