Cyberpunk 2077 – Patch 2.3 is in Development

Today sees the release of the “Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition” on Nintendo Switch 2, and with Update 2.2 marking the end of support, it might seem that CD Projekt RED has completely moved on. Yet, despite their sequel, Project Orion, transitioning into pre-production, the developer still plans to release one final update for their open-world action RPG.

Game Director Pawel Sasko from BlueSky has announced that they are developing Update 2.3. The team has been quietly working on this update for some time, and when it’s fully prepared, they’ll share more details about it. As of now, there’s no estimated release date available.

In partnership with Virtuos, Update 2.2 was launched in December, introducing RayField CrystalCoat for personalizing vehicle colors, which includes an option to mimic other vehicles’ paint jobs using TwinTone. This update also introduced ten new vehicles, a Drone Mode within Photo Mode, and over 100 new Character Creator options. Following this, subsequent updates have been primarily focused on bug fixes and improvements, as well as supporting Nvidia DLSS 4 and other features.

Keep an eye out for further details about Update 2.3 in the near future. Meanwhile, “Cyberpunk 2077” is now playable on Nintendo Switch 2, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The expansion, titled “Phantom Liberty“, is currently exclusive to current-generation platforms and has achieved sales of 10 million copies.

Absolutely! The long-awaited version 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is on its way. We’ve been working diligently behind the scenes to create something special just for you. As always, I’m overseeing this update myself and will keep you informed when it’s ready to roll out. Keep the love shining, Choomba 😘
