Earlier today, during an investor relations meeting, the company revealed a significant achievement for one of their projects. They mentioned that out of their total 730 employees, approximately 96 are currently working on the new game as of April 30th.
Indeed, as the majority of the Polish development team is focusing on The Witcher 4, it will likely be a while until you can return to Night City, the depiction of “Chicago gone awry” within the series that was unintentionally revealed by franchise creator Mike Pondsmith in a recent leak.
However, reaching the pre-production phase for Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel is significant because although there’s a considerable amount of work left, this stage indicates that the team has decided on the game’s general direction, and they are now moving forward to put all the pieces together.
