Daisy Ridley Wants to Join the Avengers

Daisy Ridley, known for her role as Rey Skywalker in the latest Star Wars trilogy, has expressed interest in expanding her resume by working with Marvel Cinematic Universe, potentially even joining The Avengers team. Having made a strong impact alongside iconic stars like Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, Ridley has shown enthusiasm for the Marvel universe. Should a suitable opportunity arise, it seems she wouldn’t hesitate to join forces with Earth’s mightiest heroes while fans eagerly await her next Star Wars project within the Jedi Order.

In an interview about the movie Cleaner, Daisy Ridley was asked if she’d consider joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “I’m open to lots of opportunities,” Ridley replied. “My second AD, Matthew Sharp, is working on The Avengers and texts me about it. So I said if they call, I’m in! I’ve always been a fan of Batman, The Penguin, and various films. In short, I’m open to anything.

Daisy Ridley’s Star Wars movie changes writers again

Behind the scenes of the Daisy Ridley movie, The Jedi Order, some changes have occurred in the development process. Recently, George Nolfi, known for films like The Bourne Ultimatum and The Adjustment Bureau, has reportedly joined as a writer. This replaces Steven Knight who departed from the project back in October. Prior to Knight, Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson were attached as writers.

Currently, Lucasfilm is deciding to continue exploring tales featuring Ridley’s Rey Skywalker, the popular character from the latest Star Wars trilogy. Lucasfilm initially shared their plans for a distant galaxy during the Star Wars Celebration Europe event in 2023. At this same celebration, we learned that the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” would be transformed into a film titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” with a release date set for 2026.

Discussions are ongoing about Ryan Gosling joining a new Star Wars film directed by Shawn Levy. Information regarding the character Gosling might portray and storyline details are being kept confidential. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is an independent movie that doesn’t align with the Skywalker Saga. If Gosling confirms his participation, his casting could speed up Levy’s Star Wars project. The film may potentially start production as early as this fall, depending on whether everything proceeds smoothly.
