Viewers have been eagerly anticipating the return of Bertie Carvel as the title character in Channel 5’s crime drama Dalgliesh since it concluded its second season back in April and May of last year, and now, it seems that day is nearly upon us.
In the preview, Dalgliesh is depicted embarking on fresh inquiries, such as probing into a suspected serial murder case, following the discovery of two deceased employees from the same nuclear power plant.
In his attempts to make the suspects reveal the truth, Dalgliesh is eventually overheard saying, “Enough of the deceit – how did you end her life?

In the initial story, titled “Death in Holy Orders,” detective Dalgliesh is called to investigate a heinous murder that occurred at a secluded seminary, perched on the edge of a stormy lake.
In the meantime, the second novel, “Cover Her Face,” involves the detective delving into a murder mystery in the lavish Essex residence of the Mehta family, who boast influential ties with the British government. The third book, “Devices and Desires,” sees him dispatched on an urgent assignment to scrutinize a potential terrorist threat against a coastal nuclear power station in Kent.
For this season, we have some notable actors joining our cast: Anton Lesser (from Endeavour), Lloyd Owen (known for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Claire Goose (Silverpoint), Liz White (The Long Shadow), Adam James (Mr. Bates vs The Post Office), Richard Lintern (Silent Witness), Ellora Torchia (The Gold), Parth Thakerar (Gangs of London), Soni Razdan (War) and Josie Walker (Belfast).
Additionally, for season 3, Carvel has moved to the director’s chair, taking charge of one of the three narratives.
