View Urgent ForecastAs a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share a heartwarming moment I recently witnessed. In a moving video posted on April 15th, I captured Kelly, beaming broadly while displaying a balloon that read, “Peace out cancer.” The scene unfolded in the hospital where she stood, embracing staff members and her children, tears glistening in her eyes. It was a testament to courage, love, and the triumph over adversity.
In an upcoming video, once more capturing the memorable instance when Kelly rang the bell affixed to the wall, the 27-year-old expressed her mother’s words, “I am ringing it thrice for my children.
Apart from sharing a photo, Brooke couldn’t resist posting one where her mother posed with a peace sign and a balloon, accompanied by the well-known TikTok tune, “She’s a symbol of greatness. She’s a legend. And she is the highlight.
Similarly, Paige also expressed her joy over her mother’s achievement by posting on her Instagram Story on the 15th of April, “I’m starting to understand that there’s no limit to what my mom can accomplish. I am so incredibly proud of you.
Additionally, the 24-year-old shared more joyous moments from the family gathering, featuring a picture of Kelly beaming beside a festive cake.
Kelly, too, reveled in the moment, reposting many of her daughters’ Stories to her own.
Kelly reached a significant point eight months following the anniversary of finishing the initial phase of her treatment in August.
Today, I managed to ring the bell,” the person wrote back then. “It marked the conclusion of my initial treatment… Surgery, 20 sessions of radiation, and 11 more treatments are next on my agenda. I AM PREPARED.
In May, Kelly openly disclosed that she had been diagnosed with Stage 1, Grade 3 invasive carcinoma, following the discovery of a lump in March.
In her interview with TopMob News, she mentioned that the initial warning sign was a substantial weight loss. This weight reduction was significant enough that people around her started to notice and inquire about my diet secrets. However, there was no change in my daily routine that could account for this weight loss.
Even with a daunting prognosis, her family stood by her side right from the start. According to Josh, aged 25, he firmly believes that his mother has the resilience to overcome this challenge.

Eight months post-cancer-free diagnosis, former Dance Moms star Kelly Hyland disclosed to TopMob News in an exclusive chat, “I discovered a lump in my breast and scheduled a mammogram.” Spring of this year saw her diagnosed with grade 3 invasive carcinoma, which left her astonished at how rapidly it had spread.
With her children Brooke Hyland, Josh Hyland, and Paide Hyland taking turns to accompany her to chemotherapy sessions, Kelly has an reliable support system in place. According to Josh, he believes his mother has the strength to overcome this challenge as he shared with TopMob News.
Kelly’s support system includes not just her three kids, but their entire Dance Moms family.
At present, she’s recording her podcasts, including ‘Back to the Barre’ with Chloé Lukasiak’s mother Christi Lukasiak and ‘Dear Dance Mom…’ featuring Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Melissa Gisoni (their mom), Holly Frazier (Nia Sioux’s mom), and Jill Vertes (Kendall Vertes’ mom). She mentioned that her old dance friends are all in the loop about the current situation. She feels fortunate to have such wonderful friends and a job that accommodates some semblance of normalcy amidst everything going on.
Right now, Kelly is undergoing her second round out of a total of six chemotherapy sessions. After these treatments, she plans to proceed with surgery and radiation therapy. She mentioned that there are eleven more chemotherapy rounds to go, which she described as a lengthy journey ahead for her.
To maintain her hair health, Kelly has been employing the scalp cooling system Amma during her treatments. As she put it, this cap lowers the scalp temperature, causing blood vessels to constrict and lessen the flow of blood to the hair follicles. By doing so, fewer chemotherapy drugs reach the hair follicles, potentially minimizing hair loss. Here’s to it being effective!
At Pittsburgh’s tranquil wig salon named Serenity, Paige and Brooke were present during Kelly’s consultation. She expressed that having both the salon and her companions by her side made her feel at ease and more self-assured. She shared that the idea of hair loss had been challenging for her.
Kelly left Serenity Wig Salon with a sense of assurance in her decision. As she explained, they were tailoring the wig I picked to suit my head, coloring and styling it according to my preference, and even included some tiny hairs at the front for a more authentic appearance.
Kelly’s children and her sister, Carrie Matarazzo, are alternating in going with her to the lengthy treatments, which can stretch beyond 10 hours. As Kelly pointed out, these are extended periods of time, so she doesn’t want to burden that responsibility solely on one person.
Kelly mentioned, “It’s my kids who help me navigate tough times.” They also motivate her to continue striving for the future they share together.
She shared that she continually reminds herself to stay resilient for their sake. Her aim is to regain her health and overcome this challenge, so she can attend her children’s weddings, cradle their grandchildren, and be present for each milestone that comes after.
As a devoted follower of the events unfolding, I must say that Brooke’s upcoming wedding with account manager Brian Thalman serves as an engaging diversion for me, being deeply immersed in the meticulous planning process.
She expressed her immense pride in her daughters and son, saying, ‘They’ve turned out wonderfully, considering the chaos they faced as children. Now, they are mature, humble, and fun-loving individuals. I couldn’t ask for better kids, and I am incredibly grateful to have them by my side during these times and always.’
