Dancing on Ice AXED! No More Seasons

After completing its 17th season earlier this year, ITV has announced that Dancing on Ice will not air again in 2026, and at present, no future seasons of the program have been planned.

The TV show featuring celebrity figure skaters started broadcasting back in 2006, however, there were no new episodes shown from 2015 to 2017. It made its comeback on our screens in 2018 after a brief hiatus.

Let me express my gratitude to everyone in the cast and crew who’ve been part of our show since 2006, across the 17 series. Your dedication, whether it was on or off the ice, has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for your tireless effort!

This news comes after multiple reports in recent weeks of declining viewing figures.

Last winter’s edition of “Dancing on Ice” was overseen by hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, while Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, and Oti Mabuse served as the panel of judges.

As a devoted admirer, I’m sharing the news that Torvill and Dean have declared their final season in 2025 will mark their retirement. They’ve planned a heartfelt farewell arena tour instead.

Judges who have been on this show before include Robin Cousins, Karen Barber, Jason Gardiner, and Nicky Slater.

Over the years, a variety of celebrities such as Gaynor Faye, Beth Tweddle, Matthew Wolfenden, James Jordan, Joe Swash, Ryan Thomas, and more recently, Sam Aston have emerged victorious on this show.
