As a huge fan of manga and anime, I’m absolutely thrilled to learn about the English dub voice cast for “Dandadan“! Momo Ayase and Okarun, played by Abby Trott and A.J. Beckles respectively, are such perfect choices for these beloved characters. Their announcement at Anime NYC only adds to my excitement for this upcoming anime adaptation.
1. “The animated adaptation of ‘Dandadan’ is set to air this coming fall, and the team behind it has recently expanded its English dub voice cast. Since 2021, Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga series has been available through Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app, but with the upcoming anime release, it’s gained a surge in popularity. Even before the anime premiere, fans have grown more and more excited as they catch glimpses of the sneak peeks and promotional content that have been released so far.”
Another exciting world premiere by Dandadan is coming up during Anime NYC in late August. The special event will feature the prominent English dub voice actors, Abby Trott as Momo Ayase and A.J. Beckles as Okarun (known as Ken Takakura in real life). More information about the rest of the voice cast is to be revealed soon. How to Watch Dandadan
Dandadan plans to release its full series sometime in October, although a specific release date has not been announced yet at this point. Simultaneously with Japan’s releases, the anime will be available for streaming on platforms like Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, ADN, and Muse.
1. In the near future, the world premiere of its initial three episodes will take place in movie theaters, thanks to GKIDS. The event, titled DAN DA DAN: FIRST ENCOUNTER, is set to roll out across North America on September 13th, but ticket sales have not yet been announced. The upcoming anime series, Dandadan, is being gradually revealed by GKIDS as follows: “DAN DA DAN focuses on Momo, a high school girl from a family of mediums, and her classmate Okarun, who is fascinated with the occult. Their friendship begins when Momo saves Okarun from bullying. However, they soon find themselves locked in an argument as Momo insists in ghosts but denies aliens, while Okarun maintains his belief in aliens but dismisses ghosts.”
In order to convince the skeptics, Momo visits an old hospital rumored for UFO appearances, while Okarun explores a haunted tunnel. At these locations, they experience intense supernatural occurrences beyond understanding. Amidst these perilous situations, Momo uncovers her latent abilities and Okarun obtains the power of a curse to confront the otherworldly beings! Their romantic tale unfolds as they face the occult fight and adolescence together.
