The long-awaited second season of “Dandadan” is ready to premiere on July 3rd. This anime is based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga series published on Shonen Jump+, where a contemporary world filled with ghosts, yokai, and extraterrestrial beings exists. To generate excitement for the new season, GKIDS will be distributing a special Season 2 film globally, which includes the first three episodes in cinemas. Tickets for the screening are now on sale in America, while Canadian fans can expect to purchase theirs by May 30th. As the first season concluded with a cliffhanger, the upcoming season promises to address many unanswered questions. From the trailer, it appears that Season 2 will conclude the Cursed House Arc and also adapt the Evil Eye Arc, depicting the aftermath of the significant battle in Daija Town.
After Okarun and Jiji discovered a secret room containing talismans and peculiar echoes, it appears that a significant conflict is imminent. Simultaneously, the trio has exposed the Kito Family, revealing their deception – they claim to serve the town’s interests while concealing a substantial secret. The recently released trailer introduces “On The Way” by AiNA THE END as the new opening theme song. Notably, this artist has also sung the ending songs for The Apothecary Diaries and WIT Studio’s Moonrise, among several others.
Get ready to groove along with the emotional theme song “On The Way” by AiNA THE END, as Momo and Okarun are back for another round of spine-tingling paranormal escapades!
In this electrifying new season, join them in their battle against otherworldly foes. Dive into the action starting now on Netflix with DAN DA DAN: Season 2!

Dandadan Season 2 Gives the First Glimpse At the Opening Song
As the Japanese trailer was initially uploaded without subtitles, the official Netflix Anime account for X shares a new version aimed at global fans. Similar to the first season, the anime will be made available in both subtitled and dubbed versions. The trailer commences with the battle between Okarun and Jiji, while showcasing the turmoil in Daija Town. In this state of madness, Jiji has become hostile towards Momo. Yet, Okarun isn’t passive about Jiji’s actions.
I have made the sentences more conversational to make them easier to read and understand:
1. Since there were no subtitles in the original Japanese trailer, Netflix Anime account for X shared a new version meant for global fans.
2. Just like season 1, the anime will be available with both subtitled and dubbed options.
3. The trailer opens with Okarun and Jiji’s fight, while also displaying the chaos in Daija Town.
4. Jiji has been acting aggressively, even going so far as to threaten Momo.
5. However, Okarun isn’t going to let Jiji have his way without a fight.
The intro tune is fantastic, leaving us eager for the images to follow. Notably, both the initial trailer and the new season’s opening present the same cast members. However, the fresh theme song has some significant footsteps to follow, given the extraordinary success of the Otonoke theme in the first season by Creepy Nuts. The captivating tune by Creepy Nuts, combined with the visually stunning work by Science SARU, quickly gained immense popularity among anime enthusiasts and was a hot topic for several weeks.
