Dandadan Season 2 Release Date Shocks Fans – Don’t Miss It!

The quest for the golden orbs persists, as Season 2 of Dandadan has now been scheduled for release. The first season of Science SARU’s anime adaptation, based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s ongoing manga, was undeniably a standout show in the year 2024. The storyline introduced audiences to Momo and Okarun, who fought off spirits and aliens in an effort to retrieve Okarun’s gintama. The season concluded with a dramatic cliffhanger that left many manga enthusiasts disappointed. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer for Season 2.

The announcement for Season 2 of the anime “Dandadan” came swiftly following the end of Season 1. Alongside an attractive poster and subsequently a trailer, Science SARU unveiled that Season 2 would debut during this summer’s lineup. Fortunately, we now have a specific release date within the three-month window announced earlier.

Dandadan Season 2 Premieres on July 3rd

The upcoming release date for Season 2 of Dandadan has been announced! This information was revealed through an obi (book cover) accompanying the re-release of Yukinobu Tatsu’s series Fire Ball! You don’t need to travel to Japan to get a copy; simply order one online. Kodansha editor Shihei Lin shared a photo of this week’s releases on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). On the vibrant yellow obi of Fire Ball!, the release date for Dandadan Season 2 was clearly visible: July 3rd, 2025.

The updated launch date indicates that Season 2 will start airing within approximately one year following the premiere of Season 1 in October 2024. This swift production schedule may seem surprising to some anime enthusiasts when considering Science SARU’s reputation, but it can be explained by the fact that Season 1 consisted of just twelve episodes. It is anticipated that Season 2 will also have a comparable episode count, leading many viewers to view it as an extension or “second cour” of the initial season.

What to Expect From Dandadan Season 2

Previously spoken about, the conclusion of Dandadan Season 1 left many manga readers feeling annoyed due to its abruptness. Towards the latter part of the season, Momo’s childhood friend Jiju was introduced, prompting fans to anticipate the “Cursed House Arc” would be explored before the season ended. However, as the plot began to escalate with Momo, Okarun, and Jiji venturing towards Jiji’s old house to lift a curse, the excitement abruptly stopped when the end credits started rolling.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but get excited about the rumors swirling around Season 2 of Dandadan! While it’s not officially confirmed yet, many of us are hoping that this season will delve into the “Cursed House Arc,” the “Evil Eye Arc,” and possibly even the “Kaiju Arc.” We can hardly contain our anticipation to see what awaits us next in Dandadan! And let’s not forget about the OP – with Creepy Nuts’ “Otonoke” being such a hit, we can hardly wait to see what musical treat they have in store for us this time.
