Dandadan Season 2 Releases New Look & Voice Cast for Cursed House

Science Saru is getting ready for the second season of Dandadan with fresh promotional images and cast updates. The official Dandadan account on X (previously Twitter) has unveiled new design sketches for characters Manjiro and Chiquitita.

Manjiro, a spirit medium, serves as Seiko Ayase’s apprentice, who is Momo’s grandmother. He plays a secondary role in the Cursed House and Evil Eye Arc from the manga, which will be explored further in the upcoming second season. Manjiro dons traditional spiritist attire and has a distinct unibrow. Chiquitita is an enigmatic young boy of uncertain origins. Though he appears human-like, he has an unusually round head, deformed-looking digits, and yellow complexion. He is often seen wearing overalls, a green shirt, red sneakers, and notably, a flight helmet and goggles.

In the initial season of the anime, a character named He was introduced later on, while Manijro has yet to make his debut. It’s been announced that Naomi Ozora will reprise her role as Chiquitita in the Dandadan series, having voiced the character towards the end of the first season. Brittany Lauda provided the voice for the character in the Netflix English dub, but Hiroyuki Yoshino is set to voice Manjiro. The second season of Dandadan is expected to air in July 2025. GKIDS Films will showcase the second Dandadan film, titled Evil Eye, in select North American cinemas on June 6th. This film version of the initial episodes from Season 2 is an edited adaptation of them.

Dandadan Season 2 Is Arriving This Summer

Dandadan is one of Netflix’s biggest successes, ranking among the most-viewed series on the platform during the second half of 2024. This show follows two high school students, who team up to investigate paranormal activities with help from their classmates and relatives. The male character, known as Okarun, is taken over by a spirit that turns him into a supernatural entity. In the upcoming second season, the storyline will pick up where the first one left off, diving straight into the Evil Eye saga. At the end of the first season, Momo finds herself in a hot spring surrounded by men, while Okarun and his partner Jiji stumble upon a secret room in Jiji’s house, filled with protective charms.

Netflix has unveiled several fresh trailers for Season 2, one of which showcases previously unreleased footage with an English Dub. For instance, the trailer for “Evil Eye” reveals that Jiji is taken over by a wicked spirit. The trailers for the “Evil Eye” movie emphasize the battle between Okaru and Jiji, who has been possessed by the Evil Eye Yokai. The storyline for Season 2, known as the Cursed House Arc, will delve into another evil that resides beneath a haunted building, where our heroes will uncover its presence.
