What Is DAN DA DAN?

DAN DA DAN has generated a lot of excitement among anime enthusiasts for Fall 2024, with series creator Yukinobu Tatsu’s original manga experiencing a surge in popularity over the past few years. The manga had already been popular on Shueisha’s Jump+ app, but its fanbase expanded significantly after news of an anime adaptation broke. Many fans decided to explore the original series, and it became more accessible recently as it was made available on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump mobile app (previously only available on their website due to adult content).

Title Character “DAN DA DAN” features Momo and Ken, a pair of kids who constantly bicker due to their contrasting views. Momo is convinced that ghosts are real, whereas Ken swears by aliens. In an attempt to settle their disagreement, they embark on a mission to investigate various locations for signs of both entities. However, things take an unexpected turn when they inadvertently uncover the existence of both ghosts and aliens, placing them in grave danger. As they scramble to protect themselves against these mysterious threats, they discover mystical powers that aid them in their battle against extraterrestrial forces. The ensuing chaos only intensifies with each new adversary they encounter throughout the series’ course, making for a wildly unpredictable and humorous journey so far.
